In other positive news, my wife broke her wrist with fractures of radius and ulna today. I planned to go grocery shopping and got to spend the afternoon in the E.R. instead. Can't wait to see the orthopedic surgeon to find out if she'll need surgery to install a plate.

In other positive news, my wife broke her wrist with fractures of radius and ulna today. I planned to go grocery shopping and got to spend the afternoon in the E.R. instead. Can't wait to see the orthopedic surgeon to find out if she'll need surgery to install a plate.

Weak hand...so there's that. Took a spill while out back with the dog. Loose or wet leaves. Put her hand down to break her fall...the rest is as expected.

Won't know anything until we can get to see the surgeon and find whether cutting Is necessary. I'll be very surprised if it's not based upon what I saw of the injury and the x-rays.

I’m so sorry E. It hurts like heck too. I did the same to my non dominant hand. Praying for the best outcome for your wife

Yikes, hope it was a clean break that heals quickly.

Broke my thumb on my dominant hand once. That was a miserable few months - even after it worked again, the whole hand had gotten weaker, causing predictable clumsiness and general frustration.
