If a Red Tail, the birds don’t care and the squirrels cry.

If a Cooper, the birds are silent, and the squirrels don’t care.

Red Tails eat Squirrels
Coppers eat birds

They know the difference somehow.

And Gosshawks rule the forest!

Except here, once the trees leaf out, they have a harder time.

When the trees are bare, they definitely rule.

Here there is a huge difference, depending upon the season, especially the leafing of the trees.

I have an EZ-Pass transponder, but they'll scan your license plate if you don't have one and mail you an even more expensive bill.

We get Sharp-shinned, which also eat birds, and there always a racket when they're around.

Yes, never have seen one in winter, only in migration in the spring and fall once the leaves either fall or are just budding.

They sure do fly fast, little dive bombers, and deadly too.

But once the trees leaf out in the spring, they disappear or migrate to another place further North.

In the fall, they move through here very quickly.
