I've used both.... Problem with the pump is then you don't have any 2.5 gallon jugs plus the cardboard box to set on top of the Walmart garbage beside the cart rack, so I always had to bring my own.....
I use to use pump def from the truck stops, but it’s cheaper to get the farm def from tractor supply at least here. Plus I like to save all the 2.5 gallon empty jugs for oil changes.I've used both.... I’ve had my 2018 since it was new and never used a box. Pump only for me. But I make sure to slow that thing down when it gets close to full because that stuff is so corrosive it eats anything it gets on in my engine compartment. I have a Chevy so the fill spot is under the hood.
That article was eye opening to me, because the scumbags are taking the VIN plate from similar vehicles wrecked or salvaged so no red flags. Apparently even some dealers have gotten screwed.
If we had more stations with pumps I’d probably do that honestly. There’s only one station I know of and it’s not very close to me. Which is weird. This is Seattle.
