The mountain tried to get me today. It’s a lot steeper than it looks. I tried to push it out with a skid steer. Then I tried to pull it out with my other truck. Then I had to bite the bullet and call in the off road tow truck. They yarded it out without too much trouble and no damage to the truck or trailer. Ultimately it was my own user error and got too close to the edge and the saturated ground sucked me in. I’ve done it without incident a million times but today for whatever reason I picked a bad line. View attachment 2808482

Had a flashback today ..Remembering (while in line at Sam's this morning)the lines for ammo a few years ago... almost everyone was in line for "eggs"

I've been there before and I'll probably be there again. Going too deep always ends with same complaints, where to put it. I try keep it under 10k, I'm a bit heavy now.

BTW, just a heads up for any Toyota owning brethren;

Toyota Corp has their annual 25% off parts sale going on until 3/15.

I usually order stuff from Fred Anderson Toyota in NC, because for whatever reason, they stack discounts to more than 25% off, with Free Shipping on $75 or more.

The 0w16 oil is listed at $6.10/qt (where my local dealer will not price match below the $8.xx/qt they quoted me), but after all the discounts applied at checkout, the oil was $3.42/qt (and the filters were $2.xx ). I don’t even see Mobil1 on sale for those prices (and the Toyota 0w16 formulation is supposedly better).
