One of the benefits of being retired is not having to deal with this anymore:
  • 31% of Gen Zers had a parent write their resume
  • 77% brought a parent to an interview
  • 53% had a parent speak with a hiring manager on their behalf
  • 45% regularly have a parent talk to their current manager
  • 73% have their parents help complete work assignments
  • 57% have brought a parent to their current workplace

At first, I was like.... That's lame

Because I'm gen x. And I'm awesome.

But, actually, I think that's pretty cool. Healthy even. Well, obviously not healthy. But something not terrible. I'm okay with it.

I tried (and only succeeded once or twice) in saving my parents the hassle of having to sign my report cards.

In the end, it wasn't worth the extra punishment.

Last car I bought was 2019
A couple, likely married in their late 30's. Seemed like the wife Also brought what looked like Her father along.....

I leaned over with the salesman I was dealing with and snickered.....especially because other their age. And the husband was a simp.

He told me that That was actually not uncommon..... Wow.

The article says that 831 people were surveyed using Pollfish, but nothing more about who they are or how they were exposed to the survey.
In university systems we see fairly rare but hilarious overly involved parents. One parent requested to live in the dorm with the student.
For the most part people that age that I encounter don't match the results of that survey.

I don't know which would be weirder, to room with your kid in the dorm, or to be there for access to young girls or boys (as the case may be).

Creepy.

Lots of possibilities, but this was not like the Old School movie (great movie). The mother of a female student claimed that she needed her in order to get up and organized in the morning.

Yeah? Try employing them or being a "coworker" with them and I think you might have a different opinion.

What about millennials? Give me a cool fact lol

Yeah, we're kinda stuck. The last generation to experience an analog world before digital took over, but there's still too much of our information online as ours was the first generation to dive into the miasma of social media.

Is a 19 year old a millennial?

I find the teens Now. 15-20 seem more together and mature than the generation Before them.

Millennial are generally 1981-1996. My older sister was born in 82 and, although she "doesn't like labels," she insists she's a Grand Millennial. So apparently that's a thing.
