There's so much to unwrap here

An argument is just a debate someone lost and resorted to try to make the other look bad because they don't have a real position. Whether it be through patronizing them, being condescending, gas lighting, plain ol' name calling, or some other fallacy.

I don't feel I'm doing either; I'm just talking, and asking questions.

AI Overview

No single person invented lasagna; it evolved over centuries, with its earliest known precursors found in ancient Greece as laganon (flat pasta sheets) and in ancient Rome as lasanum (a cooking pot). The layered pasta dish we recognize as modern lasagna emerged in Naples, Italy during the Middle Ages, with the first recorded recipe appearing in the 14th century in the Liber de Coquina cookbook.

You can't anymore: ChatGPT Passed The Turing Test

PS: Not sure what that says about the student participants, BTW
PPS: Since ChatGPT quotes Wikipedia, among others, one could just test for respective bias/errors ? :)

It's super easy to tell. Ask it about politics, race or religion etc. It will trip all over itself.

People have lost the ability of saying what they mean, and have too much comfort in the fact they can say whatever to people because of they think they have internet anonymity (you really don't and anyone who really wants you can find you, and that's a fact). It's embarrassing as we, the American people, got our stripes in bar brawls, saying what we mean, and meaning what we say.

We didn't cower from a fight. What an embarrassment.. to see my countrymen become so meek. Watching their P's and Q's so they don't rock the boat.. putting their heads in the sand so they aren't ever uncomfortable. People talk a big game on the computer, but I doubt them.. they're timid when I see them at gun/knife/ shows or really any social gathering. They've become meek little obedient sheep.

If you have an opinion; have it; but don't come at people then hide behind memes and cryptic quotes. Let em know you don't play at passive aggressive games; throw down if necessary. Real men respect authenticity and someone with conviction in their position. Popularity on the internet doesn't translate to the real world. If any of this hits home.. the monsters you avoid see all the fake dripping off you.

Just a random thought.

This pussyfooting bs is starting to piss me off. Go back. Read from page 3522 onward. I was cool until some geriatric and his fan club who wanna hide behind memes and vague not-Hamlet quotes came at me. We were talking leather work for like 10 posts.. big deal. Ya'll can quit pretending I did anything wrong any time now. You're uncomfortable because you're not used to seeing someone stand up for themselves.

"He doth protest too much, methinks."
And for the record:

It's "SHE doth protest too much, methink."

You changed the words top imply I'm a b*tch.

You weren't even involved and inserted yourself in a friendly sheath convo on some "you guys are talking randomly enough to my liking." Then got passive aggressive when I called it out. Everyone was GOOD. Now I'm the bad guy fending off you and your fan club? I think not. I broke no rules and can say what I want. I paid to be here.

Say what you mean SUPER MOD!

Threat? No threat, just an example of a simplified method of conflict resolution.
You can evade all you want. I'm in Little Rock, and we can have can have a talk if you want, but you can miss me with your veiled threats boy.. don't play with me. SAY WHAT YOU MEAN
We all gonna pretend I'm in the wrong while this dude hides behind wording that wouldn't even stick with a good lawyer? C'mon, I'll buy your spirit airline flight straight to me.

You are awefully quick to blow this up into way more than it is ... a simple laugh. Why anyone online or off gets so offended or upset over nothing is kinda ridiculous. If I had meant to say anything more than I did I would have clearly said it ... online or offline.

Take a breath and don't be so easily offended ... you've been in this subforum long enough to know we all joke and barb one another that's all it is. Not everybody's trying to be a keyboard ninja.

What? What does Blues have to do with me making a joke about your post? My post was a simple reply and a joke to your post, not a thing to with anyone else. And he sure doesn't need me to defend him.

You've gotten heated a couple times in the recent pages and I don't see where anyone attacked you at all.
