Can't say I read it in Chinese. I mean, I could, but I'd be lying. So I could say I read it in Chinese. But I haven't. Now I'm confused.

Lol, me too😂

But the translation makes so much more sense.

I get 100% of my facts from Bladeforums.

Wikipedia is best for non-subjective topics.
In 2009 I was at the Sandia lab in CA and needed to code some functions called Wigner D-matrices. I spent half the day reading old physics papers on microfilm in the library to get it sorted out. I later discovered that exactly what I needed was correctly listed in Wikipedia. (still need to double check as it would be embarrassing to admit I took it from Wikipedia if it was wrong...)

Has anyone else notice a lot more wasp and hornet activity lately?

There's been alot more flying around my backyard then I've ever seen before
Yes. They take over the water bowls I have outside for my dogs. Now I have to just fill it up whenever they want water and then dump it out. The wasp get aggressive guarding the water.

I thought today was supposed to be a holiday.

Instead, I find the downstairs commode not draining properly. Try plunger and snake. No joy.

I had the septic pumped in January, and I pulled the filter in June and everything was fine...though I hosed the filter anyway. So, I figure it can't be that.

Open the risers on the septic and up comes a mini geyser and it appears the filter must have been somewhat clogged...since the level immediately went back down as the effluent ran to the distribution box and lines when I pulled the filter.

Hosed it off, buttoned back up and decontaminated myself in the shower for a good long while.

I'm thinking that the non-stop rain over the past couple of months has the drain field pretty saturated which would slow the rate of flow through the filter to the box and then the lines out to the field.

I guess I'll start pulling it every three months as a precaution. Been a pretty shitty 24 hours. Quite literally, I guess.

Sorry, E. After a bad night of sleep as well :( Hope things are looking up, also for Kobe.

He was upset I wouldn't pet him after I finished with the septic tank, I couldn't explain to him that I was a walking bio-hazard until I could get in the shower. ☺️ 🍻

He's resting like a baby at the moment...so, hopefully things stay quiet for a while.

(Worse for the missus right now. One of our brothers in law, her sister's husband, is on the precipice due to cancer which has not been kind to him. I think his fight is nearing a swift conclusion.)

There's no escaping paying the piper. All at once or over time.

That "Rob from the Netherlands" guy, who is literally the reason we no longer ship over there (disproportionate number of problems, this one in particular, the juice ain't worth the squeeze) got in on last Friday's sale. Self-entitled prick, wanting special treatment, not willing to follow the terms of the sale, accusational, and abusive to Jo back in 2021. Worst Karen I've ever encountered. I told him to stay away from me and if I ever saw him again I would ban him and here he is again. But, somebody moved my ban hammer? Lol?

I love buying knives but I hate selling them because it's so much easier to buy knives than sell them.

I just spent a few hours a day over the past week reorganizing & labeling the boxes & knives that I store in other boxes in my store room & I'm still not done yet. Initiated this project for my own benefit but also to make it easier for my executor/trustee to ID the knives that I've got in my collection.

Of course, I came across a few knives that I don't like &/or no longer have any interest in that I should sell but I dread the process required to sell them:

1) taking pics of them, including note now required on BF
2) pricing them based on what I paid for them & their current FMV (if I can find it)
3) drafting & posting a listing here on BF (and, if necessary on EB)
4) waiting for a prospective buyer, if any, & suffering the disappointment & wasted effort if there are none
5) enduring the haggling process w/prospective buyers over the price (if applicable)
6) packing the knife, labeling it & taking it to the PO for delivery if/when it's sold
7) enduring the wait to receive payment & the deduction of fees if it's thru EB &/or non PPFF transactions
8) filing a 1099 for any transactions on EB &/or PP for sales over $600

This is why I hate selling knives & why I still have so many in my collection. 😒

-------------------------------------------------

So, I'm thinking of putting the knives that I targeted for sale back in their boxes & just forgetting about them because the $ I could recoup selling them is all but irrelevant to me.🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Frankly, for the lower priced knives (anything under $100). I'd rather just give them away for all the trouble involved in selling them.

Is it against forum rules to open a "giveaway" thread??? 🤔

Or should I "donate" the knives that I don't want to bother selling to a knife organization (assuming they're willing to accept them) & let them sell them to use the "profits" for their benefit? & taking the tax write off (if they're a legit tax exempt organization) for the donation?? 🤔 🤔

-------------------------------------------------

PS:, there are currently over 460 knives in my collection & I'm currently only considering selling 5 of them.

PPS: The give-way/donation list down to 2 each priced well below $100 each. The 3 left worth about $100-300@ are going back into storage for now.

Just not worth the time & effort for the $500 or so they they could net to try to sell them. 🤷‍♂️
