I remember when I started driving at 16, gas was I believe $1.19 or so a gallon. $15-20 would fill up my Toyota truck.

When I started driving, gas prices averaged 36 cents per gallon. Good thing, too. The Fury III wasn't the most economical beast.

I was just measuring consumption in our 54 Chevy (350), that has a broken fuel gauge still. 12 gallons for ~100 miles, used for weekly grocery shopping. With a 16 gallon tank it has similar reach as my '99 Fatboy

So glad that my 100 clicks commute per day in CA are over ....
