The Big Horns are down from the mountains for winter.

Michael Jordan is surprisingly inarticulate for a UNC graduate.

Fuggin UNC Chapel Hill.

Buncha friggin liberals

smug

Think they're better than everybody else

(because, by most measurable matrix, they are)

I hate them so much

^ NC State grad

(we know way more about things like tractors than they do)

Pretty sure I could not actually get into UNC chapel Hill

Hell I'm not sure I could get it back into NC State again

According to chat gbt:

Average SAT scores:

1350-1520 for UNC Chapel Hill

1240-1450 for NC State

However, the other presidential candidate graduated from Howard University:

1050-1250 for Howard University

And I figure, if you're smart enough to be eligible to run for the presidency, you're smart enough to work on a tractor

Crap I forgot what I was talking about. What was my train of thought again?

Oh yeah, Michael Jordan. He was really good at basketball. Like crazy good.

I wonder how much it would cost to have Michael Jordan change the oil in my tractor

Because I didn't change it this year

And I don't remember changing it last year either

Edit by Nate:

Jo says I am not funny

Circular logic is the best shape for pizza but only if it has olives in the shape of the air Jordan logo

Amen.

You believe Celt, I'm guessing, but in reality - just like Nate - you want a pony, too (Parthian). :)

What leads you to believe my convictions aren’t based in fact, I wonder? Unless my DNA test results which match my family history are wrong, it’s weenies and warpaint, I’m afraid…

Sure would be slick if it were ponies, though.

Michael Jordan has ADHD

Pretty impressive how he could hyper focus on things
One of the symptoms is hyper-focus. ADD/ADHD causes difficulty focusing on things you're not interested in.

If you're looking into something you're interested in and you have ADD/ADHD it's very easy to lose 5 hours and not even know it. Ask me how I know.....🤦

I would agree that, if your primary purpose of going to college is to get a skill set and to be trained for a job, that many (if not most) of the degrees are probably not a very good proposition for a lot of people today.

It's 2025. Learn a trade (I guess)

My degree served me well while I was working in that profession and continues to serve me well making sharp pointy things in my shop today. I don't regret it and I would do it again, but I certainly understand why some people would not want to accumulate that much debt for what might amount to a fairly meaningless improvement in job security and income.

YMMV

Jo has degrees in biochemistry and genetics.

If you want to do stroke research, you're not going to be able to do that with an associate's degree. Probably.

But, here's the catch. Even a degreed molecular biologist is not going to be able to do much with that degree either unless it's a PhD

And even then, well...

At the end of the day it's about acquiring grant money

She works in the shop making sharp pointy things too now

She makes more money and has a better life work balance now than she ever did doing medical research

Which is kind of crazy when you think about it

For what medicine costs, you would think the people in the trenches actually doing the work would be well paid but they're not.

I spent half the morning comparing various health care plans as the open season started today. I was about punch drunk after an hour or so.

I have a friend with an advanced degree in a medical field. She is overworked, underpaid and under-appreciated by her company and some of her clients. It seems most of the money in medicine is going to middlemen.
