One of the symptoms is hyper-focus. ADD/ADHD causes difficulty focusing on things you're not interested in.

If you're looking into something you're interested in and you have ADD/ADHD it's very easy to lose 5 hours and not even know it. Ask me how I know.....🤦
Oh I know how that goes , I have also

Oh my, so it's not just me? Wonderful! Now back to work, the lot of you.

I spent half the morning comparing various health care plans as the open season started today. I was about punch drunk after an hour or so.

Did yours go up by $1,000 with no appreciable upgrade in benefits? Because mine will.

Glad to see you're ok, my friend. That looked gnarly. I hope the recovery is quick and you're back out there as soon as possible.
Thanks. I had my stitches removed on Friday. It will have been two weeks since the incident on Tuesday. I really can’t believe how fast my face and head healed on the outside. I have an appointment with my regular doctor this Friday. And I will see a neurologist within the month. I still haven’t seen the scans that they originally did at the hospital when I arrived. I requested them but they told me they legally have 15 days to get them to me and they are running behind. Hopefully Im healing just as quickly on the inside.

Significantly more than $1,000 with much more of the cost being laid at the feet of the policy holder. Higher deductibles, higher co-pay, higher coinsurance percentage in virtually every category.

So you pay more, for less.

Sorry man....you asked. And we're still better off than most since a good portion of the actual price tag is picked up as a result of my former employment. So, I'm not kicking...but like any other (legal) documents, the weasel wording when you compare coverage between offerings is mind boggling.

Reminds me of a commercial I saw on TV while watching the news. Guy says "and zero co-pays". Unfortunately, for the average person, they don't understand that it doesn't mean zero coinsurance. (But they don't mention that. Lying by omission.)

I'll give you some examples of the misery:

Deductible went up from $700 to $1000
ER coinsurance went from 20% to 35%
The follow-up CT scan my wife will be taking for the kidney stone, (which seems to have gone away the first day), has a charge of $100 co-pay currently.
Starting January 1, that co-pay will be $250.

Urgent Care up from $35 to $50.

Co-pay for visits to physicians and specialists also up.

Pretty soon it adds up to money. And this is after the price increase.

It ain't pretty.

Oh, no apologies necessary, unless you're somehow responsible for all of the price increases...🧐

Sounds about in-line for what I'm seeing, except instead of a flat co-pay for testing we'll be charged 25% coinsurance and those payments will not count towards the deductible. I could pay an extra $400 a month in premiums and earn a $250 copay in exchange, but somehow I'm not seeing much of a bargain there.

Sutures?

Bro is getting all bourgeois up in here

I only spend $30,000 a year on crappy insurance. We have to use super glue in this house
I cut myself really good back in march and literally did this myself. I did not want a huge ER bills, so I just glued it up and healed just fine. Sad, we are more worried about a simple ER vist's bill than the injury itself.

Healthcare emergencies are random and ruinous. It's like getting hit by a meteorite.
