Every CoCK should be confident in their hardness.

I think you ought to be able to call out any high-end maker and get video taped hardness readings, demonstrating their work, their hardness tester, repeatability and their technique etc.

I can pick a knife up off my line, at any time, and tell you with a high degree of certainty what hardness it is and I can demonstrate it.

We should normalize this.

I am always up for it.

I'm a bit confused! Doesn't Spyderco usually state their VG10 RC to be ~ 59? Sorry, another slow neurons day for me.

I just know that vg-10 can be harder than that and I just assumed that theirs would be, because they do such a nice job with their heat treat.

If they state it is 59, it is indeed 59

I would want VG-10 over 60. It really is a decent steel.
