I just know that vg-10 can be harder than that and I just assumed that theirs would be, because they do such a nice job with their heat treat.

If they state it is 59, it is indeed 59

I would want VG-10 over 60. It really is a decent steel.

Fallkniven also claims 59 RC with their VG10. Maybe that is the hardness which they run them at in those factories in Japan or Taiwan?
