Last night was wild!

Heading home on the highway my transmission shuddered then the truck immediately duty off so I coasted the the shoulder..... tried to restart with no luck . At this same time I realized my phone was almost dead so I hurried and called for a tow (included with our vehicle insurance)

They said no problem............ the flat bed would pick me up in 5hrs

So I said screw it and started to wait.... hours into my waiting a state highway patrol car pulled up to check on me (very nice officer) and we tried to jump my truck with his jump pack with 0 luck

I informed him I called for a tow and told him how long the wait was.... he replied "I can call you a tow and it will be here in 15 minutes)

After already waiting hours my immediate answer was yes! Lol

By the time I got home I enjoyed a few well earned adult beverages and feel asleep on the couch

Then this morning my wife wasn't feeling well so I grabbed her and we went to the ER (all the tests say everything is okay!)

After that I cleared snow at my dad's house and loaded a bunch of split wood into the house for his wood burner

Glad to hear all is okay. Sorry to hear about your wife and hope all works out.

yoko my Silverado has been randomly throwing a fuel rail code and putting me in limp mode. Well putting the truck in limp mode. I thankfully don’t have that issue. But, it’s been to the dealer for it a couple of times and they can’t figure it out. Last time they said they put some dielectric grease on the sensor, “that will be $300 thanks”, and it did it again after I left. I ended up getting a code reader like you recommended and just clear it off. Sometimes it last a day and sometimes a month. Anyway, I’m glad you and yours are alright and it sounds like you have a good attitude about it as usual. Good luck with everything.

Found some holes dug under the side of the back porch today, look about the size of rat holes, dammit!

Plugged them up with various non-diggable objects (rocks, chunks of concrete, a paver), stuffed a piece of hose under there too (smoke injector for tomorrow if it is rats), and set a camera out.

Now I’m left wondering which neighbor nearby got backyard chickens recently?

Set a trap out loaded with peanut butter for tonight, but no return vermin yet.

I hate it when the USPS does a "walkabout" with a package.

Just before Christmas my first Carothers field knife is just getting to San Francisco after about a week of travel. Instead of sending it to my local post office, they send it to Seattle. Shows up a week later.

On the USPS Tracking page, there's a "feedback" button and I gave them a FYI: Seattle WTF ? kind of message.

I order a second field knife in Cruwear and get the shipping notice. This time it comes like it was shot out of a cannon. It arrived a week before the estimated delivery date.
