Random Thought Thread

but for real, what equity stake ownership % buy in we talking?

I am not officially Nathan's CFP but for a million USD, I'd advise him to seriously consider anything land wise on the east bank of the creek (very secluded with nothing but local wildlife species, ergo, mostly coyote dens and yellowjacket hives, all super friendly and almost domesticated). Additionally a couple of classic Ford trucks currently on the compound site to get around in. Pro tip, bring a tow truck plus auto mechanical knowledge would be highly beneficial. Fun fact, once a year in October the other bank gets campers who are very adept at playing the banjo!

Guys, I just spent like 5 hours outside in the fresh air.

You know what?

Half the things I was thinking about and thought were super important… just kinda disappeared somewhere.

Touching grass is actually pretty damn cool, huh?

I almost whittled a spoon while walking through the forest, but I accidentally broke the damn stick.

I’m really not that handy / coordinated.

That’s life.

Lately I’ve somehow really sunk into my thoughts.Tomorrow I’m taking the doggo to the vet — he’s got something wrong with his paw, it’s age-related, basically there’s not much that can be done.

And somehow I started thinking about time…Everything is just flying by way too fast…!

10,000 would be nice, but that's 2 million 😞

So you end up with shipping containers everywhere ...

Seems from here (far away) like having to get up and GO to work would be a major hit to the psyche. Being able to wake up at 3am and go poke at a problem that suddenly became clear, then sleeping a little late (or just staying up and working it out, then having a beer at 3 in the afternoon) has a lot of value. At least that's my theory. Maybe your electricity provider is planning to upgrade lines in the area? Or could be convinced to? We had problems with power reliability here when we first moved in, then they upgraded the transmission line that runs along the front of our property, and I can in theory get 414V three-phase to my shop at a 'reasonable' price. Maybe the kind of funds that would buy a shop in town could be brought to bear on the power problem, and any others that are pushing you to move operations? I dunno, just seems like a fairly sweet setup to give up on.

This is called "the Carolina squat" and this is the dumbest shit I've ever seen.

I'm just posting this to do my part. This sort of thing needs public shaming.
Pretty sure they explicitly passed laws to make it illegal in the states where it was the most common (including North and South Carolina). ***and yes, it’s incredibly stupid

Seems like it would be tricky to word that without making it illegal to put max cargo capacity in the back... which causes the same sort of stance. Depending on how bad your springs are. But maybe it's OK to ban that too

but I guess they did. Seems like it's pretty badly worded but what else is new.
