How many of you have the seasonal cold symptoms? I do  and have felt like this for about a week! I don’t have aches and pains, no fatigue, no fever, no shortness of breath and no coughing, dry or otherwise, but I do feel congested and my head feels a bit heavy. There are a combination of possibilities but this has caused me to keep my distance from my elderly mother who lives with me (big house, plenty of space and distance) and BTW, she also displays and had displayed seasonal cold/flu symptoms before me.

How close do you think that you are to being ordered to shelter in your places? I feel that we are very close here in San Diego county because our reported cases keep jumping exponentially but no reported deaths as of yesterday evening, which I’m sad to say will just be a matter of time. MCAS Miramar where was used to quarantine the infected citizens arriving from China this past month, has reported cases of the a few marines diagnosed with Covid-19.
Whole family had a little something, assuming it was a mild bug. Mild cough, tired, foggy head, couple extra trips to the bathroom- nothing severe.
Started a week or two before they said that this got here but my brother in law works for CBP at Detroit Metro where they’re bringing cases through so I’m hoping that was corona and we’re through it already, after all, the fortune cookie said to stay positive:)

I think I cranked a little too hard on this fastener

What's that from? I have some extras from a UF/DEF if you need them.

I’m in the same boat, wife and kids and myself have been coughing and sore throat and so on off and on for weeks, but no fevers. At least as far as I can tell, with the shitt-o electronic thermometers we have. I’m reading at 96 degrees on this POS thermometer I have here, doubt that’s accurate. I guess you can’t buy mercury thermometers anymore??

Thanks man, this one is for a HDFK though.

I had a run of good luck for a change. I have a doctor's appointment today. However, it had nothing to do with Coronavirus. I sprung my shoulder, and I'm going to have the 'damage' checked out.

Of course, if my doctor and I talk, I will remind him I have asthma, and he usually checks my lungs and sinuses.

If I'm cleared, it will be reassuring. If I have Coronavirus I'll be in the right place...

Ahahaha, the fortune cookie reference. I’m sure that the cleverer than me could come up with a wicked joke on that one :D

I’m glad to hear that the family seems to be fine now. I think that this thing has been getting transmitted under the radar for quite a while now as o suspect that it had started a good month before the first whistle was blown in China (late Dec ‘19) which was subsequently quashed and suppressed for another few weeks by the Chinese Gov.

With cases continuing to rise, and people continuing to be out and about spreading it, expect more shutdowns and more and more Shelter-In-Place edicts.

They're already putting preps in place in case they decide to enact a national shutdown/SIP.

Stupid people ignoring the social distancing recommendations are driving this infection. Once the med facilities get overwhelmed (and some are already at the point), it's going to get really bad.

Consider this:
Unless we make drastic changes to head this off, we're currently on Italy's timeline minus 10 to 12 days.

Welp, the authoritas are saying that almost everyone will get it but maybe over 80% will just display mild symptoms and will never know that they had it. I decided to post my current condition just as a non-scientific fun-not-fun facts about myself so that some of you would also come out of the closet in this :P a What can I say, I’m such a leader :D

But jest aside, if we live through this we will be super CPK’ers and that darn K18 will be skeered of us instead!

Pretty sure we had it back in January now that we think about it...almost all the Bay Area counties around us have already issued SIP orders, but people like their lights to stay on so I'll be heading to work Friday as usual. My big hope is that I don't wind up camping out there for a couple weeks...definitely leaving the engraving stuff in the car just in case;)

We are on lock down in O.C. and my wife and I have been sick for almost two weeks. Like Fonedork, no fever (97*) but feeling like sh*t and fatigued.

I do have something, but it will be an hour or so before I see my doc on my shoulder. My case feels like a sinus infection. Fortunately the snow stopped so I actually might be able to see oncoming traffic.

You know the problems with an F-150. You're driving down the road and you think you just felt your timing belt snap. You get out of the truck, pry a Subaru off your grill with a crowbar, and check the engine. No problem, the serpentine belt is A-okay.

Randomly, I checked my email today.

It says that I've got a prize in the mail.

I hope it's one of those sex lamps from A Christmas Story.

Be not afraid. I dont know anyone who even knows anyone who's had the REGULAR FLU. (in real life, not from over the internet. INternet friends could be ANYBODY... LITERALLY)

This year alone, from October to February the influenza knocked off between 12000 and 30000 in the USA alone.

I wonder why they can't pin that number down. Oh well.

Fear is the pandemic. Yayaya. No one likes to listen to me anyhow, be it Internet people or real life people so I'll just shut up about it from now on.

OMG you are so manly, how do you stop the world from swooning at your feet?

It was a joke. This is a quaint social exchange we boomers used to convey levity based on a real-world exchange.

How you you stop the world from correcting you? It must be often...
