Out of sheer self-pity (and WTF not?) I have resigned myself to the eventuality that most likely I will never own an OG Skinner, Potato Knife and Dagger. Believe it or not, I had a legit shot on every single one, I mean pretty good shots even if not 100% guaranteed. All water under the proverbial bridge. What is most important is that the other day I was thinking, "hey if this current situation really really gets outta hand and if I had to sell all my stuff which I consider as good as currency, including my most prized CPKs, what and how many would I keep?".

The answer: 2 CPKs no matter what till the bitter end. An original FK + HDFK. These will be it! I will forever be grateful to Nathan / Jo

In lieu of a pic (IOU?) the HDFK with TT scales and either the OGFK with unbuffed black micarta or maybe this most recent older 3V version which I bought with toxic green G10s.

I've tried to purge these CPK buggers of mine a few times, every single time when the collective encroached 30 or more units but and time post the purge, they somehow kept adding as I was subtracting!

this is a 3V knife that Josh Rider is currently making. Cool huh? It's my take on a Randall #1 type thing

This one is really sweet, Lorien. Count me in .

Though I’m not qualified to talk design with you, one thing that would make this knife close to perfect, in my eyes, is for the fullers to be tapered in on either end. For me, a straight, end mill cut fuller, looks sort of like a short cut and detracts from the esthetics. A ball(?) end mill would be a step better, and a gradual taper in, With a ball end mill to full depth, would really tickle my fancy. I know it’s early in the process (except for that gorgeous drawing of yours), and this isn’t mean’t to be criticism, but since my jaw seems to be loose today, I figured I’d flap in this direction. That toxic green OG FK was SO tempting. I’ve gone back and looked at the picture a few times. Told you before, I’m an addict. Probably not as much as you though.

this design I came up with specifically for working with Josh, and the KABAR/#1 type combat knife inspiration came from Josh's being a Marine. I am really enjoying this project, mainly because Josh is a sweet guy and a hard worker. His first try was going great til heat treat, and cracks developed around the guard slot. So he scrapped it and is going full throttle on it again. I like people with a strong work ethic and strong other ethics
