it's perfectly still, I don't know what you're talking about. Maybe your computers are having a problem

Well dang. I didn't drink I was thunk yet.

Quake in ID??? WTF!

Pretty crazy. I was outside taking care of the pooches and thought I had a bout of vertigo. My back is in pretty rough shape and I sometimes get pinched up and it makes me dizzy, so not out of the ordinary, but then it was like the kennel door gave me a shove. I was like 'whoa there son get your feet under you' for a minute and then my wife was hollering from the house and I could tell something was pretty serious. The hanging lights were still swinging at a good clip when I got inside. Didn't seem to bother the little ankle biters though.

Are you just fooquing with us? The first photo looks like your hand is still while holding the knife but everything in the background is moving like how a drunk sees things! The other two pics are perfectly still. You are fudging with us, yer devil!

I think you should visit the eye doctor

I think you should visit the eye doctor

I agree and I also prescribe that I ought to arrange more visits to more specialists but the problem still remains that the first picture shakes!

Now I’ve looked at it all along on a mobile platform bit when I decide to get off the couch at some point, I’ll check it out again on my laptop :)

Man. Any M39 is my next goal.

I dropped $125 about a year ago for my first hex 91/30, other than a little finish wear, it’s mint, looked unfired, then $225 for the hex M27, much heavier barrel profile, I’m really looking forward to stretching the legs on this one. And the newest was $400, but came with 500 rounds.....so given today’s market, not terrible I think.

Can’t wait for this Wuhan to slow down so I can go shoot!!!!

M39? Unfortunately, you are very late for the show. I just got the weekly list from Empire Arms. The cheapest M39 is $595. Most are around $950 and one sold for $1750.

In the mid 1990s, Century Arms was selling 3fers. 3 M39s for $99. You got a really nice one, a mediocre one and a beater. The thing people didn't understand is that there never were
a lot of Finnish Mosin-Nagants. Finland is a small country and never had a large army. The same goes for Swedish Mausers. Less than a million ever made. Compare that to 98 Mausers,
11,000,000 made. M1 Garands, 5,468,772. M1 carbines, 6,100,000.

You’re too kind Lorien, but thanks.

Now that you mention the KaBar aspect of the project, the fuller configuration on the prototype makes sense.

Ya know, it looks to me like the “gif” of the knife in your hand may be oscillating in time with your heart beat. From all the trail work and trail riding that you do, you probably have a pretty strong pump. Mike

Just received an email from Dave Munson at saddle back leather. He’s selling toilet paper in two colors, peanut better and chocolate, that is guaranteed to last one hundred years for the low price of 1,000,000.00 a roll. Deal of the day.:eek::)

I'm totally fucking with you. Practising my gas lighting as I consider a career in politics

still uncertain as to whether I have a heart or not. I haven't seen it, but doctors tell me there's one there. Who to believe?

Random thought: Kevin Cashen is one of the best knife makers living and his work is also somehow reasonably affordable. A knifemaker's knifemaker, I don't know any maker who doesn't admire him. Like me, he pursues metallurgical perfection and high performance, but he does it in handmade Damascus and wood. If you ever get the opportunity to buy a Cashen knife you should. The work is some of the best in the world.

Thanks for a piece of info which I had not known till I read your post. A few Google clicks and I found some of his already sold work on places like Arizona Custom Knives. Buy Cashen's you say? I think that I'd stick with buying Nathan's with cash :p

Terrible, terrible photo, but I agree with Nathan. My Kevin Cashen knives from the last two Blade Shows. (With apologies to Phonedork. I said I would post pictures shortly after the show. It’s been awhile and I still need to take better pictures.)

So I was fishing today in the swamps of Manchac and hooked a gar that was probably 100lbs. And got him right to the shore but lost him at the last minute. So what, am I doing wrong?!

Also, I’m just thinking out loud here, do you think a club with a predilection towards males aptly named “ The Man-Shack” in Manchac would be a money maker?!

Wow Mike those are awesome!!! I especially like the lil top bowie :D

Yeah this moniker was given to me by an old girlfriend back when people used aol instant messenger. I am a Luddite and didn’t get a computer until like 2001 so she set up an account for me that I could use through my Nokia phone and gave me this name, and I’ve just kept it as a handle for ease of remembering. It’s pretty horrible honestly, haha.
