^ It's fonedork not literally to phone that dork :p

Wow Mike those are awesome!!! I especially like the lil top bowie :D

Yeah this moniker was given to me by an old girlfriend back when people used aol instant messenger. I am a Luddite and didn’t get a computer until like 2001 so she set up an account for me that I could use through my Nokia phone and gave me this name, and I’ve just kept it as a handle for ease of remembering. It’s pretty horrible honestly, haha.

Ha! Yes, I am truly the dork here. I know better, but was a bit rushed and not fully in gear. My apologies! The good thing about this, is that I usually learn from my mistakes:p.

The bowie was from the show the year before. The knife from last year’s show is actually a few years old, but Kevin decided to sell it this past year. The guard and butt of the bowie are made of some nice tight grained Damascus. The Damascus blade on the other knife has a nice pattern that I fans rather pleasing. The domed copper pin has a pretty neat little design on it also.

I think I still owe you a photo of the RJ Martin that I was also lucky to pick up at last year’s Blade Show. That was only made possible by Matt Gregory’s influence. Mike

Random thought: Kevin Cashen is one of the best knife makers living and his work is also somehow reasonably affordable. A knifemaker's knifemaker, I don't know any maker who doesn't admire him. Like me, he pursues metallurgical perfection and high performance, but he does it in handmade Damascus and wood. If you ever get the opportunity to buy a Cashen knife you should. The work is some of the best in the world.

Without sounding like too much of an ass-kisser, I think a lot of the same could be said for you Nathan!

Chip, that third hand of yours is kinda small. O_o

Turns out that our own CIA has been warning our executive branch for a number of weeks that China has been vastly understating their COVID-19 cases (per NYT). While lack and lag of proper and extensive testing has been a prevalent issue in most countries, many governments have been purposefully suppressing such information. The type of scary carnage which we watch getting reported in here and some European counties is a testament to our free presses.

One more interesting tidbit which I had not known before but had wondered as to why!

The 1918 flu pandemic known as the Spanish Flu did not originate in Spain at all. In fact patient zero was a US military personal in Kansas who could have very well contracted the virus from Europe upon returning from WWI or something that could’ve also started from here in the US. This much I knew.

Turns out that during that horrible war, most governments including that of ours had actually banned or were forcefully barring their presses from reporting the carnage which that virus was inflicting, for national security reasons. The only European country which was allowing its presses to report more freely in the wake of that virus was Spain which in turn got tagged with the dubious title of Spanish Flu

So I was fishing today in the swamps of Manchac and hooked a gar that was probably 100lbs. And got him right to the shore but lost him at the last minute. So what, am I doing wrong?!

Also, I’m just thinking out loud here, do you think a club with a predilection towards males aptly named “ The Man-Shack” in Manchac would be a money maker?!
You should have used a menchac Male beater on that gar by your man shack

unfortunately, naming this particular virus at this particular time for the country associated with its genesis is leading to a lot of people getting unnecessarily targeted during a really stressful moment

Hence as to why it's a terrible idea for people like SoS Mike Pompeo & Senator Tom Cotton of AR to keep referring to it as the Chinese Flu / Wuhan Flu / The Kong Flu in the ugliest pejorative. Both aforementioned persons have their own lofty political agendas and aspirations (US Presidency beyond Pres. Trump) but careful-what-you-wish-for maxim applies to these shortsighted "gents" as future pathogens can raise their destructive heads from anywhere and any region.

Lightfoot just finished this one, the guy is an absolute beast!

He named it Reactor, which I personally think is a pretty cool name. I called it Cliffhanger but fortunately that's his call to make :)

For what it's worth, we never had plain stainless torx. If they are torx, they are titanium.
I’m hoping both the black screws and the titanium screws are allen heads. I just changed my FK1 to titanium screws today. I used allen wrenches to remove the black screws and to install the Ti.
My eyes aren’t what they used to be but...
