Unlikely. They are too small.

The cats on the other hand, seems one of the neighbors called the City who called the SPCA on the cat house, as we call it. First renters on the street and of course they have a herd of cats. Looks like the government is about to step in. Shame. Would you be interested in fostering some of them? Maybe send some money to help get them into a no kill shelter where they might find a new home?

My neighbour that called the city, she's pregnant and can't even go in her garden anymore as they are using it as a littler box and she's afraid of Toxoplasmosis.

Her husband has been trying to run them over apparently. While I appreciate you like cats and want people to blame the owner, the cats are just given thier world they didn't create it, our current societal norms require us to take the punishment out on the cats, not thier owners.

You know, sometimes when a Dog bites someone, they put the dog to sleep, not the person who owns it.

So really, given it's a bad situation, I think I'm kind of doing the cats a favour when I speak of letting them feed a Coyote and contribute back to the Eco-system. Keep the government out of the situation.

It's a lot better than getting put to sleep or run over I would think. Since you also like cats (I never said I didn't like them in fact I have had a water dish with a slow drip all summer long for various critters during our 2+ month long heat wave), why get all emotional about the subject and make personal attacks?

I DO contribute to no kill shelters every time I buy food for my cats at the pet store. I also contribute to the Feral Cat Coalition to help reduce the feral population. I find it interesting how people who also "Like" cats would NEVER say such a thing about coyotes eating a DOG.

You must have never seen a pack of Coyotes eating something. Putting the feral cats to sleep is far kinder than letting them be eaten by Coyotes. If these choices were applied to people, would you rather be eaten by a bear or go to sleep from an overdose of sedatives?

^ if it were up to me, I would sauté him first in butter, sprinkle him all over with white truffles on top and hand feed him to the bear :)

Probably because it's usually the mountain lions (CATS) that eat the dogs. Another reason why I don't like cats.

There are a LOT of coyotes in the canyons around where I live and they've taken quite a few small/medium dogs as well as cats.

I'm cool with Coyotes eating whatever Coyotes got to eat. No worse than what a cat will do to a mouse, rat or something else just for fun. Not even to eat. So your logic fails here.

I'm an omnivore and can't begin to count the number of animal deaths I'm responsible for. Doesn't mean I don't like them.

These aren't feral cats. These are poorly managed cats owned by someone. Just someone who thinks having 8 cats or something and not taking care of them is fine.

Human > Cats. If my wife was at risk of Toxoplasmosis I'd chase away or trap/kill every cat that came in my yard. Period. Don't care who owns it. Pure risk management.

Maybe I'll approach this another way. So let's say...Cat had to die. Better to feed it to a Coyote as opposed to Cat is dead and Coyote eats something else that didn't need to die that day.

But that's cool, I'm not a liberal social justice warrior.

This is where the hypocrisy comes in, this is someones pet you hope gets eaten by coyotes. That's what I'm talking about and it's not the same thing as the animal feeding on their natural prey. Should the owners take responsibility and either keep them inside or in and outdoor cat run? Yes, yes they should and they are ultimately responsible for the death of their pets.

FYI, I'm not a "Social Justice Warrior" type. :)

At this point, neither of us is going to change the other's mind. Best I put you on ignore and you do the same with me.

Let's get back to knives...

Hypocrisy, not sure you know what that means, as there is nothing hypocritical about it. If I owned an animal that was up to no good, I would have zero issues with someone dealing with it on their own, like my dog was attacking another dog, or a kid, or livestock, or my cat was using someone's garden as a litter box or trying to kill their birds. It's my responsibility to prevent that, and if I failed, I wouldn't blame them for having to. Failing to do so without seeing it as a fail but attacking others for said failure would be hypocritical. With that I'll add a smiley face here too! :)

I don't add people to ignore because they disagree with me, but hey you go ahead and do that, best to avoid further triggers I presume.

Knives, sure, make a post here about them, something constructive, hmmm?

Edit: Ohh I see the hypocrisy. You're virtue signaling outrage about my wishing a Coyote would eat someone's "pet" cat as that's just so awful, but you wishing the Coyote would eat me, that's fine. Gotcha!

I'm with Justin on this one, putting someone on ignore is kind of a lame action simply because of a disagreeement such as this. Probably a good idea to put me on ignore as well, considering...

I think we can all agree that Pharma Bro going to jail is the best news of the day. I'll bet he killed people's pets when he was a kid

What a bourgeois capitalist filth!

You know what they say about gaining respect when it the Big House? Walk up to the biggest baddest dude in the yard and give him your hardest wallop right on the nose.

I'll pay good money to watch a video of PB doing that :D

You're so full of beans today! Must've scored a couple more Shivs that I don't know about yet? ;)

Sorry Bob, had to change the Video, did not hear some of the inappropriate language in the first one;)

Yeah, but it was the most fittingly appropriate, inappropriate language one could ask for to describe how non-lovers of cats feel about them, lol.

My sister got attacked by a stray cat on our front porch last weekend. 4 stiches later and a Tetnus shot and she's A-OKAY.

I'm not joking. I'll get her to send me the pics she took.
