I want to clarify something here. There is no way in hell we are stoning all these daggers. It would take me a year and I already have tennis elbow despite not playing tennis.

That's Jo's dagger and she's stoning her own dagger....

No worries, I have a set of stones. I'm just surprised that one can apply a flat stone to the bevel, the way the grind was described.

Have I ever repaired windings on a stator on an induction motor? Yes, actually I have. That video is bullshit because the person who made it knows he has an induction current source that he's not showing. It would be very easy to recreate this video but it is disingenuous of the person who made it to imply that this is some sort of free power source because he knows he has set it in an AC field. It pisses me off when people create intentionally deceptive information and post it out on social media with the intention of misleading gullible people. Entirely too much misinformation today, it's getting where people can't even tell what's real and what's not.

Ok. So. Since I asked, what is he not showing? I'm just curious, looking for interesting conversation about this that I can learn something from.

That's all.

I don't know exactly what he's not showing because there's more than one way to set up an AC field but the simplest way for most people would simply be to slit open an induction motor and pull out the stator and unfold it and set that up underneath the table. If it were me doing it I'd probably use an electromagnetic chuck from a surface grinder and set it to DMAG which would do the same thing
