I’m not surprised. There are a ridiculous amount of ways to die and lots of infrastructure is decades old. In the corporate culture of shareholder profits, workers get killed on the tracks due to defective components or deficiencies already identified but maintenance budgets are cut, people are laid off and the company still profits billions per fiscal quarter.

It’s not a path I hope my children take.

Wait I’ve messed it up. Damn imperial system.

So those cars loaded as they were carry about 108-114 tons of cargo. So 108,000 in my head was cargo in tons to lbs but it’s not 1000 it’s 2000lbs to a ton. So that’s where I messed up.

Ok so they are 286,000lbs maximum gross, maybe 58,100lbs or so empty.

That’s 216,000-227,900lbs in cargo per car.

So those destroyed cars stacked up like empty pop/soda cans are a bit less than 58,100lbs or 29ton a piece, after derailing at about 137-143tons.

I think I got it right. I’m taking Cyclobenzaprine for my back/neck/shoulder and it makes me super foggy/drowsy thinking wise.

Well that’s nice to know. I’m on my 3rd one today.

Massage tonight and Chiro tomorrow. Always feel the worst just before treatment.

Interesting to note I broke a rib and worked straight through it overtime and all, so it works! Only found out it was broken when my Dr sent me for Xrays because I wasn’t recovering as fast as he expected. I only started these pills cause it hurt really bad. Bad cycle to be in.
