  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Random thoughts

Had a great week in the mountains with my best friend Marley.
Now we're broke down and stranded in Cheyenne Wyoming for who knows how long.
Damn.

Hope it's getting sorted out, Greg. You planning on continuing to head West once you're on the road again?

I won't be at Trackrock this fall. Family drama going on and interfering with fun things.
Thats too bad Jeff. I'll miss seeing you there. Maybe you can make it in the spring. Hope things even out for you.
If I'm stranded in Cheyenne for too long I won't be able to make it either.

Good news!
Getting ready to leave for Trackrock tomorrow. Looking forward to a great weekend with my friends from the south!
Can't wait to get on the road!
See you all soon!
Glad to hear that. Safe travels and enjoy your time.

Newer guy question - are Trackrock and Survival weekend two different events? If so, which one should be on my calendar for 2026?

It's 3 events. 😛

Trackrock is a Hammer in that's held in the spring and fall. It's not a Fiddleback event. It's just a cool event with a lot of good people and a favorite of Fiddlebacks.

Survival weekend is a Fiddleback Event that's attempted annually in the fall.

I thought driving across Kansas was bad until I did Nebraska. Just did South Dakota and it’s not much better.

I once rode a motorcycle from Toronto to LA. After crossing Nebraska into Colorado, I almost broke down and cried when I finally saw the Rockies. 😂

2019 Wife and I took the bike to Sturgis one month before the rally as I don't like crowds. We rode all through the black hills and it was beautiful. Riding and seeing the badlands ahead was super cool.
