I thought they all had red hourglass on them. I learned something. Spiders are fascinating.
Oh, we have the big mammas as well... there are a handful of Black Widow species - Northern, Western, Southern... with a couple dozen other off shoots. A lot have the hourglass, but not all and it can present different at different ages etc. They are super fascinating. Fortunately, from what I have read they have a better temperament then the fiddlebacks we celebrate here!

This one was from a few years back about 15 feet away from the little one I posted above.

We had quite a few in CA, in the garage, behind wood stacks, etc. They are not aggressive and usually try to escape into the shadows. Just remember to wear gloves …

Yeah, we haven't had problems yet... but the scary thing is my kids were playing hide and seek and found the smaller one where they were going to hide... we spray around the house and wood pile a couple times a year.

We spray around the exterior couple times a year to keep bugs out. Since we started doing that we havent found a spider of any kind in the house. Wife is terrified of them. We first started spraying because we would find palmetto bugs in the house and I'll admit I'm terrified of those. Like a giant roach. I will hop up on the counter and make the wife get it. Heart starts beating fast and all. Nothing else does that just roach looking bugs. Spiders, snakes and whatnot don't bother me at all.

Sitting at my gate at Raleigh airport. Wife and I are flying to Philadelphia to visit our oldest and her husband. Wife is staying for a week and I’m flying back Monday. She is working for Chick fila Inc on her way to have her own store. They are sent to a location that needs help and then move on. We will try to visit them wherever they go. They were in Dallas but not long enough.

Open to considering reasonable offers on the fixed blades I have posted on the Exchange. Please send a DM if you have interest.....Thanks !

This place has been a little quiet last few days. There has got to be a pot that needs stirring somewhere.

Huh, I didn't know you were supposed to stir pot.
Oh.....I thought thats all you were suppose to do. I stir the pot and then walk away so you know I'm super popular with my coworkers. 😁 Gotta be tough to work around me.

Been awhile since I posted on here. Been drowning at work as I'm by myself on this renovation project and every time I turn around someone's coming to me with a new found issue which usually involves I need to do something. I just demo the issue out of the way so we can start over. The owner wouldn't give me any direction on their IT closet so I demoed the entire closet with everything in it. Now they come to me asking me where this and that is and I let them know "the landfill". I remind them I asked about this months ago and now you pushing us to hand over early so that's what I do.

Also my PM is young with no time management. He gets feelings hurt when I go over his head but I don't have time to just wait. I'm not a renovation guy so this project is going slow enough. Building is fairly small. 32,000 ft single story divided into 3 wings. I have right now 50-60 people in here working. To him it looks like chaos but I tell him it is "controlled chaos" as that is my job to coordinate. I don't put trades working on top of each other but I do have trades chasing you. I told my boss I don't like renovations so I'm good with this one being my last. Also don't really like doing projects by myself when out of town since its hard to get away.

Hope everyone is doing good. I love this forum. Great friends here.

A abraves will the job be wrapped up by the holiday season?
No. We are looking at February. They wanted to open 2 of the wings along with kitchen and stuff. I demoed the kitchen a week ago and found structural integrity issues due to the hood being installed on the trusses without being designed for it. That will delay the kitchen a month. They won’t get what they want but I’ll keep pushing. It won’t be for lack of effort on our side.

Our oldest daughter and husband are heading to Midland, TX for their next assignment for Chick fila so guess we will be flying there for Christmas if airports are still operational.

Well I found out last night that we are not going to fly to TX to be with our oldest daughter for Christmas. She will only have one day off so her and my wife decided to go another time. Our youngest and husband are going to be with his family for Christmas so for the first time in 30 years we won't be with one of our kids. :( It was kind of disappointing but it was going to cost a lot to fly and hotel so that's what they decided.
