They may be a little large for me. My daily is hiking buddy / Bushboot size.

Yea they definitely aren’t edc for me. My daily is normally between a HB Jr and handyman. Sometimes the handyman is too big. I keep a Bushie in my bag all the time and then another lives with my hiking stuff.

I got one headed my way. This will be #3 for the bushies. Love the handle!
Nice! I just got my first one and there’s one out there online that has been super tempting for me for a while. I swear I check to see if it’s still available about once a week…….

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. I’ll head back later this afternoon. I’m surprised no one has grabbed the KE Bushie from Friday. I mean looks like you get five knives for the price of one. 😂
There are 4 or 5 of them. These are the collaboration with Kevin Estela. Andy just posted them as one buy.

Don't know if I've ever said it but construction is no longer fun. I'm still here at work waiting on my ansul system installers to finish something they should have completed over a week ago. They for some idiotic reason called in an inspection today and fire marshal showed up and low and behold they were not complete. Not only that they weren't even here working on it. They didn't roll in here until 130 and now we have to have it so they will work until they are done. They need about 3 more hours. Next time get here at 6am! Hope they have a flat tire on the way home with no spare.

Sorry, brother. But, do you think that frequenting a knife forum when you're that (righteously) pissed, is a good idea? (Insert Foghorn Leghorn quote here).

Well, my new KE Bushie should be getting to the house today, but I am stuck in Cincinnati until Friday. The sun hasn’t been out the whole time up here, but looks like I will get home to some warm days in WNC!

I don't think the sun is ever out in the NE in the winter. First thing I asked when I got to Iowa was does the sun leave in the winter and they lied to me. The sun left in Oct and didn't show up until like April except for the occasional time when it knew you had no sunglasses and showed you what snow blindness is all about.

It occurred to me this morning as I was looking over FF website of available knives that when I joined BF in 2023 I was just getting into knives. Now I had some what I thought were expensive folders that I had paid over $100 for. I had a friend of mine get me interested in getting "a" fixed blade. Well they multiplied. I remember when another friend told me about Fiddleback and I started looking and every now and then would find one on the secondary market for $300 I was like no way I'll spend that much. 🤣 Anyway once I got my first which was a Hiking Buddy I was in love. I was always looking for another but you couldn't find much available. Then FF knives would drop on the Outpost and they would be gone stupid quick and I wasn't fast enough. There sometimes would be a couple that lingered but not what I wanted. Back to my point is now when I look at available knives on the website there is a good selection available. Why did the buying slow? I notice even secondary market has slowed down. Is it a trend and people have moved on to other makers? Does the next generation want something they can get right now? I know at first it was frustrating trying to get in on a drop. I tried unsuccessful for awhile to grab a knife from another maker on this forum that sells out stupid quick on his drops of 20 blades. It was very frustrating but now to me its part of the fun. I love seeing how quick some go and watch people try to be at the top of the list just to post "pass". I feel for the small knife makers that rely on sales to make a living. My plan is to make my own knives to sell at some point but not as source of income but retirement and if I make a little great. I will never be able or even try to compete with the super talented makers today I just want to have fun.

I guess the main question of this rambling is why do you suppose knife sales have dropped?

PS I would love to only spend 300 on a blade. 🤣🤣🤣
