Rank your Paramilitary 2 (for those of you who have or had one)

The PM2 is my second favorite Spyderco knife behind the Southard. I still have a lot more Spyderco's to try and play with, but I think the PM2 is a great size, has a superb lock and is a damn fine slicer.

PM2 is probably my second favorite EDC knife. Blue Delica 4 being my favorite. Although the more i use it the closer it comes to overtaking the delica 4.

Top 10 for sure, and maybe top 5.
One of my favorites, and my second favorite Spyderco behind the Military.

I would say top 5 for me. It seems to be the knife I grab most. The Paramilitary just seems to do everthing well, carries well, deploys well, cuts well and looks good too. For me it is a knife I can trust to do the job each and every time its required, from openning milk bags to dressing a deer and everything in between. I liked my first one, a digi camo, dlc coated blade, I bought a second one, black G10 and satin blade. Still have and carry both.

Used to have the full blacked out version. It did everything I asked it to but for some reason I couldn't get myself to like it. Aesthetically it looks butt ugly to me (including many other spydies). Functionally I really liked it but I traded it only because of it looks. The only spyderco I now own is a pimped southard.

The PM2 is my alltime favorite folder. That said, I also carry a Street Beat daily.

Top 10. Its a fantastic knife but takes a back seat to the Native 5 (g10 and cf) and the Benchmade Volli.
Great knife tho!

The PM2 would probably make my top 50.

It is a good knife but not my cup o tea.

Top three only sitting behind the Sebenza. With that said, some of the newer Spydies are catching up: Southard, Domino. I have the Domino and it's close but not quite. Don't have the Southard yet...yet. The flipper is cool for open g but it seems to get in the way when closing. I'm a fan of the compression lock.

like idk not really in the list for me. I didnt like it, didnt care for the lock at all i gave it a fair shot but i still carry an endura. Just wish i could get a g10 one.

Love it as an everyday carry folder but not too excited about the lock either. Actually like the Endura lock better. I am just getting into collecting pocket knives, and there are many Spyderco knives I wish to acquire. I really like the look and feel of the Para 2 though, and since it is almost impossible to find one in stock anywhere, when I spotted one for sale ( digi camo with satin blade), I grabbed it.
I am new here as a member, but have been lurking for quite some time. I have really learned a lot here and wish to thank all of you for the education I receive here from all the members.

The Para 1 was my first quality knife, and I really liked the updates the Para 2 gave. With that said as I have collected/used more I have found I prefer a 3.75-4" blade, so for the first 5 of the 7 years I've been in the hobby it was definitely my top 1. Now just due to the medium sized blade it has dropped a little, its still top 3 of Spydercos, and top 8 overall. (I currently own around 90 knives)

Just in terms of the value, f/f, and performance for the money, it's in my top 2 production folders and the only folder that I own more than one.

I bought my My pm2 on the internet... Let me say this, I had never seen one in person so I was very careful to research as many comparable knives as I could to feel like I wasn't making a poor choice with $150. After much research I decided most folders will be strong enough for what I need so for me it was going to come down to size and looks. I thought the pm2's larger handle to blade ratio and light weight were the things that put it apart from the rest. I just hoped I wouldn't hate it when I got it in my hand, I haven't put it down since it arrived. So far I love it and recommend it. It's my most enjoyed folder for sure. #1.

Top 10 knife for me. My favorite Spydies are my Stretch then Dominoes then Para2.

It is certainly in my pocket more frequently than other knives.

As far as a purely EDC knife, it is my most practical option. I love my other Spydies and my Emerson, but the light weight, great ergos, strong lock, and great cutting performance of the PM2 is not rivaled by anything else I own. I have knives that are smaller, I have knives that are more robust, and I have knives that feel excellent in hand, but I do not have any other knife that is as well balanced between those factors.

For an EDC it's near perfect. Not too big or small. Not heavy or expensive. Wouldn't cry if I lost it, but I would buy another to replace it.
