RAT II in D2 ??

I'll probably get one of these.
If I were cynical I'd say that when this thread began D2 was seen as an awesome upgrade. Now you have D2 being used on many budget knives and you have knives like the Kershaw Link and Dividend being offered in M390...
But don't worry, I'm not cynical. :)

Christmas is right around the corner and there's no news (at least that I can find) on these. I've been holding off on some other gift purchases in hopes that these would become available in time for Christmas.
Any updates you can provide are appreciated, you guys rock.

Yeah, unfortunately I doubt it's going to happen in time for Christmas. Hopefully OKC chimes in and makes me eat my words. lol
 
So here's information we don't normally share publicly - they're in customs. They got here about 5 days later than I was told and they haven't been released yet, so my original estimate that we'd have them out in time for Christmas is looking pretty bad. Sorry about that guys. When they come in, I'll keep you posted on the process from there.

No worries! Thank you for sharing we all appreciate it. Looking fwd to get one just after the holidays regardless. These will also be great gifts to friends and family for other occasions.
 
This is exciting news. I'm sure there will be plenty sold to forum members that have been patiently waiting for a year or so for these to become reality.

I know nothing about “Customs Holds”. What could possibly keep these knives from being released?
 
Dude, knives are sharp. You can’t just let those things run loose into the country, someone or something might get cut!! :eek:;)

I don’t actually have a helpful answer, I just know that importing things takes extra time because Reasons. o_O

I don't think anything was keeping them from being released, I think it was just that there was a lot of processing to be done ahead of Christmas. They're released now, and shipped. The distributor tells me the first ones went to KnifeCenter, BladeHQ, and Knifeworks, so they should be there any day now.
