Rats command primo prices on ebay

I made a joke about equal distribution being akin to communism. I now think that what we've been seeing is more like war profiteering, and I think that's a crime. They might even hang you for that...

People who are online 24-7 surely DO have a fair chance but not everyone. I've got other priorities to take care of besides starring into a screen all day long. This has nothing to do with being early or late, many people were early but they still didn't get the knife because someone beat them by few seconds and ordered three knives therefore the next three people after him didn't get one. I'm referring here to the very limited knives which were only available on a particular day and not standard line. If those knives were sold one per customer then many folks who did want the knife would get it and not have to pay ridiculous prices for other's spare ones.

Well for those who have other priorities I would suggest they contact a trusted party to be their agent when something like a limited run free for all comes up. Don't laugh, it has been done before quite successfully. The one per person idea will not work as I see it. Even if they were to do such a thing, the demand would still overwhelm the supply with in 24 hours of the blade being offered. If you aren't near your computer, you will still be SOL. So enlist a buying agent and forget all the redistribution of wealth talk. :) I will not feel bad for buying more than one blade and selling for a profit later any more than I would by buying stock. As far as my love of the blades and my fellow hogs and rats is concerned, any one who says I have no love for them doesn't know me from Adam (hoping that the accusation was not pointed specifically at me, but since I do sometimes buy with the intent of selling for a profit I do take offense a bit, that is how the wife lets me expand the collection of keepers).

One per person would help spread things out. Instead of all of the knives disappearing in 10 minutes, it could stretch out to 1/2 hour or so, and that would be much more fair.

ya my friend saw that BATTLE RAT for $100 and a RAT TAIL for $40 on ebay both brand new!, had him buy both for me since i wasent at home. Now i got 2 new RAT's to my family!

Outstanding!!!

Are you bringing them to the Eugene show next weekend? ;)

CongRATs Ivan!

Yeah, it was me that found them new for that cheap. I snagged them like settin a crankbait in a big mouth bass. Had them tail-walking and the fight was on. Traded them to Ivan51 before I could even get them to the boat! Why'd I get rid of them so fast? Sharpened prybars don't do it for me. :) I definately didn't like gettin rid of the Rat Tail though. It's the elusive piece in this collection that's hard to obtain.

Great grab and turn over man. Those kind of deals are almost as good as finding a really rare piece.

Haven't been around for a while, and found this thread. Makes me wonder why all the whining? If you can't buy 10, then change your circumstances so you can or quit crying!

I have 1 Busse and 2 Swamp Rats now. Sure I wish Icould have bought 10 of everything to sell later when prices went up. I could not. Do you see me whining like a baby?

I mean there are people on the Busse and this forum who could buy scores of baldes at a time, and sell to create their own market, but they don't. Some people can invest a bit, playing the odds. I can't. So what. I still buy. Will I pay 2 or 3 prices for something? If I wanted it, maybe. That is my choice.

You all had a chance to buy Rat products, and didn't. That was your choice. Now that the market has changed, you cry unfair? That is what is called a market. Simple economics.

What babes.

If your comments were aimed at me then you seriously misunderstood what I had to say and I suggest you re-read my posts then we can talk, ok buddy?

why not????

Threads come and go. They come when there is a question and go when the question has run it's course. Generally speaking outside of the exchange forum BTTT is seldom used, especially by someone that didn't start the thread. This thread has more than run it's course, especially since the same topic has been discussed for months and months in dozens of other threads.

that may be your opinion, not mine

Interestingly enough it is my opinion and the opinion of the other moderators that manage this site.

I don't care if you BTTT the topic, when people are done discussing it they are done discussing it. You'll be posting to yourself, however, if you continue to BTTT a dead thread you'll find it will get locked by me. Strange how my opinion wins on this forum ;)

It's also strange that you would BTTT the thread when it was still on the first page, and practically at the top. I'm not sure if you are trying to prove a point or you are just new to the forums, or if you in some way think this thread will change the way Swamp Rat does business. If you are trying to change the way we do business this thread isn't going to achieve that.
