While it's still up there, I'd like to say that I like the way SRKW does business. The only thing that I would change is the time interval between ordering and shipping, and that's something that's already being addressed, right?

Well, here are people still posting to this thread. How do you know people are done discussing it? Did everyone email you and tell you that they are done discussing it? If you wanna make a federal case about someone BTTT a thread; I'll leave this site. This supposed to be a forum, not your playground where you're the bossman. I BTTT because I found these knives for cheap on EBAY and wanted to share this experience with others. My friend who is a gold member here for years also thought it to be a good thread. GEEEEZ ! Oh, and for the record I don't care how SR does business! I don't know where you got that BS from.

Why not stop with the whiney temper tantrum and learn a little something about online Forums. If you want to bring a thread to the top, have something to add that someone might feel like reading.

Here are people posting to the thread, but they are adding comments, not just bumping it up a few spots for absolutely no reason.

If you are gonna be all thin skinned and make statements to the Bossman telling him that His playground isn't his- you must be new to the whole internet/forum experience?

It really isn't about being right or wrong, it is about getting along with others on the forums. In my first post I was trying to be helpful, trying to explain that it is not appreciated when someone BTTT's a thread outside of the for sale forums, without adding additional info. I apologize that I did such a poor job of my explanation.

A thread will die when it is ready to die and it will get more responses when others want to respond.

We are a friendly bunch on this forum, if you BTTT a thread in Whine and Cheese or the General forum I think you'll really get hammered. In all honesty I was trying to point this out to you in my original post, just to be helpful so that you get along with others, not so that I was right
 
If I may make a loosely-related comment, I used to post on another discussion board for ESL teachers in Japan. Man, what a nut house. People just wouldn't stop arguing and fighting and making personal attacks. There wasn't the sense of comraderie and like-mindedness. Bladeforums really surprised me. The people who post here are very open and accepting. It's a far nicer place to spend time, at least from my perspective.

I'd like you to stick around and get to know some of the people here. I think you'll be happily surprised with the new friends you make, and the information you find. You'll really enjoy yourself, and probably end up spending more money than you should. It's a good time.

Edited to add: Hey, I just hit 200 posts! I guess I should slow down a little. I need to spend more time outside...
 
I always pay more for knives through on-line dealers and Ebay simply because I don't have to wait. I'd much rather pay extra than wait a year, but that's just me.

Actually I said the thread would die when it is destined to die and there is no need to BTTT any thread outside the for sale forums. As I stated, I don't care if it dies or not, but only that you add a post of substance when you post.
 
I just took a look at eBay and there is a Camp Tramp going for $293.88 with 6 days to go. :eek: There were 20 bids the first day! Maybe we should have a lottery to see how high this one goes. (Just kidding)
