Overpriced machete that I would never use.

However, it's awesome and it would probably last longer than a $6 Tramontina. That and I want one.

What's sick is that you could piggy-back an RC-6 on this thing and it would look like an RC-6 carrying an RC-3. :D

BTW, I want a RAT folder.

That is almost too much RAT... Almost :)
Looks great  Logo looks a bit awkward position wise for some reason though - dunno why.

I've read through this thread, and I love the knife, but I have to ask those who know much more than I what makes a good knife in the real world; if the 10" blade isn't much use practically, why build it? Beyond the cool factor, and don't get me wrong that is one of my criteria for buying anything. RAT knives are arguably the hardest use knives around, yet many are going tobuy it despite it's lack of practicality.

I know I will most likely end up with one because I like knives and RAT specifically, but I trying to learn along the way, so please be gentle.

Thanks

In my experience, a good folder will handle most of the chores I need it for while camping and everyday use. But I like to bring a good fixed blade in the woods because it's a bit more fun. However, at the end of the day, most of the folks on a forum like this are here because they're collectors. So that would be the main reason to design, and buy a knife like this.

I don't think many are saying it is not practical, just that you can get the same effect with a cheaper machete......but for those that love their rtakII's this has long been awaited.....

It's sort of like owning a 338Lapua Magnum. Do us range-warriors really "need" tha kind of firepower? 'Course not. But sometimes, things are just too cool not to have! And you never know - if the zombies finally DO attack...I'm just sayin'...:p

I'm one of the rtakii lovers drooli g for this thing. Machetes are nice, but a bit much for the ne USA. A large ten inch blade fills the quick chopper/splitter role very well, and packs smaller than an axe, hachet, or 22 inch machete

There is just something down right sexy about that knife. Please do no modify the blade at all, the blade shape is perfect as is. That blade is definitely on my hit list now.

WOW. I want one.
Where is the waiting room?:D
