Franklin Dayton OH 1.jpg
Franklin Dayton OH 2.jpgWith obvious Schrade DNA, this Franklin was the trademark of Tracey-Wells of Dayton, Ohio, and was probably made about the same time as that Indian Head nickel!! Tracey-Wells sold Household and Sporting goods, including bicycles, and obviously, pocket knives!!
The jigging looks like it came from a transition period between Picbone and Peachseed jigging! A nice 3 3/8" penknife, with lots of spring, and remaining use left!!
It is interesting how the pile side often wears more than the mark side!! The shield must take on the pocket wear!!!
