With obvious Schrade DNA, this Franklin was the trademark of Tracey-Wells of Dayton, Ohio, and was probably made about the same time as that Indian Head nickel!! Tracey-Wells sold Household and Sporting goods, including bicycles, and obviously, pocket knives!!
The jigging looks like it came from a transition period between Picbone and Peachseed jigging! A nice 3 3/8" penknife, with lots of spring, and remaining use left!!
It is interesting how the pile side often wears more than the mark side!! The shield must take on the pocket wear!!!

This Robeson large stockman I recently acquired certainly fits the bill. Still in great shape for an 80+ year old knife, but does show a little mileage.

Old Ulster!!! A bit over patina-ed; needs cleaning!!! Put away wet probably, but the bone is pocket-polished, and exquisite!!!

Wow, that's fantastic. That little clip blade's point could be restored without too much trouble. Lots of life left in it.
