There are many examples of the efforts we have made in order to satisfy every customer complaint. . . . Typically we like it when folks call to BUY a knife. . . Not really a good business plan to dodge customers who are trying to make a purchase. . .

Man, I have sent emails and had them returned in minutes, on the weekend, etc. Hate to hear that you missed out on the TB. On a good note, the BW Mistress is up for sale.
 
Who is the one that answers the phone with a deep, kinda sexy voice (YES, I'm sure it was a woman and not Jerry). The call only lasted about 2 minutes, so I don't think it was Amy. . .?

My guess is that it was Kendra:thumbup::D

I have been dealing with Busse knives for about 6 years now. I am not a Hog by any means. I purchase about 2 knives a year from them. I think that I would fall into the category of client that would have had issues with them at some point. Busse Combat has done nothing but excel in their dealings with me. There are people out there that spend tens of thousand of dollars with them, I only spend a few hundred here and there. They treat me as if I were a Hog, regardless. I am a customer for life...
 
Yes, the Busse Co is very, very good. But let's face it, they don't walk on water. It's a human endeavor and mistakes will be made. What matters is how they deal with those inevitable issues. And they are great at that. We have no reason to doubt what happened to Jay; so maybe we should lighten up on implying that since your own experience was so good, his could not have been bad.
 
Wow. Jerry and I had a problem about 10 years ago on these boards a lot like this. When the dust settled, after Jerry and I talked, I found out that he is a VERY stand-up guy to say the least. I really hope you let us know what happens after you TALK to him. BTW, you say you are a long time customer, I bought from Jerry in 97/ 98 and have one of the first hundred SHBM ever made:D When did you get yours? Pics or it's not real;)

I sent two separate emails and left 2 voice mail messages trying to get someone from Busse to contact me so I could order a pair of Tank Busters. No one ever bothered to get in touch. Just went to the website and found out the Tank Buster is no longer available.

All you have to do to get a knife after the deal closes is create a fake account and complain that you tried to get one MONTHS ago and didn't get it.

I'm never ordering from the website again! ROTFL!

BTW - nice job Jerry. Hopefully the OP hasn't left in a huff and actually reads this and gets his knife. I'm also betting he would have gotten it had he just called the shop and told his tale of woe. (Why are there always tales of woe and never tales of giddy-up???)

Wow I was thinking the same thing. I remember odering a Mean Street Limited Edition, I sent so many emails and called a million times, I never heard back from anyone. I had ordered 30 of them too.... I'm serious! I better get them or I'll never buy another Busse ever again

yea, I went to bed late, miss the forums over the weekend and Monday during the day, I got a day job for a bit, it's not good and I was just trying to get a quick fix...

perhaps this is just the newest for of HOG treachery.

maybe the Thin NICKs I sent that email about way back when are ready. :eek:
 
I am still waiting to hear back on my order for 30 straight handled knives. (mix of Ash, BM, Badger's, Mean Streets, etc).

I have yet to hear back, and I emailed and called tons of times.

Jerry, I will take those "missing" orders now, at the original prices???????


Seriously, though. I have only ever emailed once, and I heard back super quick, even though I was right before one of their big shows or Ganza's or something.

I am always tempted to call, but then I don't want to waste their time, because I am not ordering anything any time soon.

Heck, I have had the boss man and Amy-0 answer questions on here that were not really even directed at them.
 
I would like to know if the OP took up Jerry's GENEROUS offer. Let's get some closure here and get on to the drinking!!!

I am not a hog, and have only one Busse BUT you are drinking what is my life's blood.

Next time you pop open a fifth let me know ASAP!!!

I am always in need of a transfusion and a fifth or two is just what the Doctor ordered:D

Oh and for the record; I like my Busse, it's gutted many deer, a moose, a load of birds and two home invaders:eek:;)
 
for all those who are curious. I did not call the shop today and have not emailed Jerry. I'm not looking for preferential treatment. I was/am disappointed but that is in fact a part of life. Jerry, I appreciate the offer, but I'll pass. Partly because the moment has passed and I just don't want it anymore, but mostly because after seeing the BWBM on the sight I've decided I'd rather have one of those. Looks like an Infi RTAK and I think that's pretty bitchin'!!
Now I can just hear it. Some are going to ask why I bothered posting in the first place. I suppose that's my prerogative. Some of you don't like my approach or my attitude. Tough. I'm a classically trained French Chef and we aren't exactly known for being cuddly and personable. Most of us are fiery bastards.

All that being said when I do get around to ordering my black and tan BWBM I'll try to get in touch with Jerry personally. Haven't put a drop of alcohol in my body since I was 17 so I guess we'll just have to talk about knives;)
