Reate's 2015 Horizon Series New Item Horizon-C

That is a very slick folder! Definitely going to be keeping my eyes out for that offering in M390!

Any idea when that will be coming?

The blade looks exactly like the 0562 blade to me

I think they look very different from one-another. The 0562 also has the slicer grind, while this one has a straight flat grind. I don't honetly think the blade is all that similar, other than the basic drop-point design, which a lot of knives have.

Borrowed the Reate photo, got the 0562 photo from ZT's site:

i been following and watching Reate on IG and from reading all previous reviews/thread on here. I might jump on this one as my next folder but like others said I wish it was 3". Let's see how bad Shot Show sets me back haha.

It's too bad the M390 version didn't come out first as I would have preferred that one. Oh well, I'm sure that I'll end up buying many more Reate models down the line.

The rate at which new models are coming out is absolutely staggering compared to everyone else right now.

Lol. i recommend an eye exam. Aside from both having a drop point blade I see no similarities. Just like the guy in the last reate thread who thought the "B" looked like a 560. Didnt anyone tell you guys when you stare at your ZT's too long everything starts too look like them? Next guys will be saying the hills looks like a 0392.

The groove in the blade alone makes it different than almost any other knife out there on that feature alone.

Sorry you got so offended :)

Im not offended, I was amused. The 0562 isnt a super unique looking knife. And I feel any simllarities shared by it and the horizon C can be found on countless other blades with flat grinds and drop point blades.

Great looking knife and guaranteed to be a quality product - best Reate yet.

As I already own the Hills, though, I'll probably hold off to see if the price comes down or a variant appears that I can't resist. I would like to see this in M390 with one of the scales in carbon fiber OR keep the full Ti handle and give it a blade in 3V, 4V or some other crazy tough steel.

great design, i'd be interested. of course a 3" would be even better.

btw, does the blade groove/fuller run all the way into the pivot? I hope not, it would channel fluids toward the wrong place...

Jeez, How I missed Reate is beyond me. I love a Good flipper, Great pricepoint, Quality materials used, customer service is great. I'll pre order from GP knives.
Keep up the fabulous work Reate.

Just found out that my wife pre-ordered the Horizon-C through knife center for my Valentines day gift. Can't wait to get this. They project end of January.

I asked Vanessa if I could get my pocket clip and spacers anodized blue instead of gold. She said they would do it no problem!

Hot Damn!!! That's some good customer service:thumbup:
