It has non-standard threading on the barrel, but there are a few options to choose from. Some sort of muzzle device is going to be a must have. The krink-style "booster" looks like it helps a lot but it adds a few inches to the overall length. A muzzle brake would be good except it's already going to be loud enough as it is. Like, ears ringing even with double ear-pro loud. I'll probably end up getting just a flash hider.

i noted that not every firing produced a fireball. must be the loadings. the flash is unburned powder igniting, so reducing the loading would reduce the flash without affecting the muzzle velocity.

Very true. I've got a whole mess of cheap surplus ammo though, and no reloading equipment, so that's out of the equation for now at least.

Why is it now that I've decided I want a Ginunting I suddenly see people buying them?

i bought mine years and years ago. ;)

My imagination? or do masks eyes move in 3rd photo???? Good camera work Ballistol!

It looks a bit weird now when i look at the eyes. Must be the different angle when i did the shot on the third one. I hope so anyways. Maybe it will speak to me this night, and make me sh*t my pants. :ghost:

Bhairav seems to be looking down at the blades. Maybe thinking, "I could do a lot of damage with those swords if only I had hands."

I got the memo, this is the place to post new purchases.

The Cinnabar Bow, who is the US reseller for Mariner bows from China.

They are a step above the cheap ebay bows which are a simple plank of fiberglass wrapped in leather; and closer to the real composite horn, in that they are a laminate construction of a bamboo core and mulberry siyahs with thin glassfiber panels in lieu of horn and sinew on the back and belly and the fish bladder glue.

Nice looking setup with that Bhairav mask above your collection Ballistol.

Christcl, Looks like a great bow, but those arrows look really incredible. Have you shot it yet? How does it handle?

Hi Shavru!

I use the new arrows in my Qing/Manchu bows. These bow are so big and the siyahs so long, they store so much energy and are of heavy poundage that a lighter arrow will be like dry-shooting the bow. I weighed them and they weigh about 1300 grains on average, about 400-450 grains heavier than the 900 grain heavy carbon arrows I use more regularly.

They feel fantastic when shot, absorbing all the energy and hit hard into freshly compacted bales. They fly well and straight if my release is good, but being so heavy, I have to adjust my shooting.
