Nice find Wayne! That thing is killer.

I had a couple small pieces of that padauk wood. It starts out a really striking orangish-red but will always darken over time to what it looks like on yours.

Here is my recent non-knife addition. It's heavy, impractical, pretty much useless. But I am happy!

Thanks bud. Not sure when I'm gonna have time to take it out shooting but i have plenty of ammo and it's itching to be shot.

I wouldn't call it any of those things myself, well heavy may apply.

Definitely not useless. Kind of makes me think of my Mares Leg, same thing in a lever action.
It's kind of weird to shoot, I may have called it useless once myself but the cool factor overrides that.
And it feels splendid in hand.

If thing ever go south I'll probably put a full stock on it and have an SBR lever, would be a sweet handler.

I kind of like your PAP myself.

you could probably reload with a pistol powder like unique & reduce the flare, if you can find a load that works. otherwise wear dark glasses at nite. ;)

cute little devil, wish i could own firearms over here. you'll need a quick draw holster. :D

Would make a nice photo op with Noah. So non PC it's not funny but I'd love it.

I got pictures of mine with a 1911 on them the day they came home from the hospital. Priceless.

Thanks for the kind words guys. It's going to be a blast to shoot. It's got a welded on thread protector right now, I need to break the weld and put some kind of muzzle device on there instead. Also need to get a more comfy grip. I'm thinking a Hogue rubber overmold grip will do. Maybe a sight rail and a red dot too. These things make great project guns.

A good flash suppressor will probably be a necessity with something that short. It won't stop the fireball, but it might cut it.

It has non-standard threading on the barrel, but there are a few options to choose from. Some sort of muzzle device is going to be a must have. The krink-style "booster" looks like it helps a lot but it adds a few inches to the overall length. A muzzle brake would be good except it's already going to be loud enough as it is. Like, ears ringing even with double ear-pro loud. I'll probably end up getting just a flash hider.

They're expensive, but the Noveske pig makes the boom go away from you-
I ran a Tabuk for a while with both the original short tube/grenade launcher and with a krinkov style device. Even the original tabuk tube made it quieter but still if you fired it in the shoothouse it would drop the IQ of everybody in the room about 20 points lol
Seriously, take a look at the Pig. About $125. My krink thinger cost me $25 shipped, back in 08
EDIT: here's the original Tabuk setup-only thing I did was weld up the downward-facing hole in te muzzle device so I could shoot it prone without being sandblasted

Thanks J I will check that out. I'd really like to get something that I won't need a thread adapter for though, that'd just be more extra length. I will need to get a detent pin too because with the welded thread protector it doesn't come with a pin.

I also don't like how cumbersome the 30 round mag makes it so I ordered a 20 rounder for a more compact package.

If it's got a sling loop on the butt end you can adjust the sling so that you can push out against the sking tension and steady it quite a bit
I'd grip it waaaay closer to the mag well than old boy was-embarrassing to shoot off/fry your support hand fingers
I wish I could've gotten hold of one of the Lebanese 20 rounders-I cut about 3" out of that stock (dwarf in body armor lol) and it wouldn't fold over a 30 (not that I ever closed it up except screwing around on the range)
