Thanks - agree it's a special one. I really have no idea how many of this model were produced, but it doesn't seem to have been many.Beautiful knife. I have the exact same one and I very rarely ever see them. Do you happen to know how many were produced?
Impressive! Never seen or even heard of the Red Buck before, really admire it.IMO Buck's red delrin is an outstanding shade of red as can be seen on this 1992 LN 301

Thank you OH. Buck would likely do well having an annual offering of the 300 series in a variety of coversredsparrow - stunning Buck Knife - the red handles completely alter the look of the 301! OH
Thanks Will. Mine was a gift from a former next door neighbor, needless to say I was thrilledImpressive! Never seen or even heard of the Red Buck before, really admire it.

Really cool story behind the patch. I’m just saying repeats are quite alright.Last of my REDs (for now?), Case Tear Drop in Smooth Old Red Bone, with black PVD coated blade.

And last of my patch posts. Curious as to whether anyone else on here has seen this one. I'll give it week and see if anyone else knows what this was for.
A little background:
This was an unofficial official(ish) patch for one rotational mission performed by one unit for many years, exception being when the unit on European rotation could spare a crew to pull the mission for us over Christmas. Since they were already deployed away from home, if they could pull the mission it gave one of our crews a chance possibly be home for Christmas. A lot of times we ended up getting tasked with another missions anyways, so it wasn't really too big a deal if they couldn't.
The mission callsign was BAT60, regardless of unit (normal squadron or guest help), crew, or aircraft pulling the mission. Patch was not officially cleared through HQ AF, had to be purchased by each crewmember, not everyone wore them. The mission had dedicated assigned quarters, the area called the Batcave. We had our own designated crew vehicle called - yep - the Batmobile. And of course the bird was the Batplane. Goofy, but added a slight amount of needed hilarity to an otherwise normally boring logistics support mission that was manned every week of every year for a long time.
