I just picked up my Reg12 from UPS and I like the Regulator handle a lot. I don't know why this wasn't the way the DT12 was originally setup. I can't wait to get this beast home and put it to work. I don't have a 1311 to compare it with but I do have a DT12 Sawback and BB13 CG.

Finally got all my work done and opened one up. This thing is a beast. It makes the AFBM look small. It’s too dark now to do any chopping and I’m tired.

Had to pull out the current champion 1311 for comparison. As soon as it hit my hand it reminded me why it’s the champion.

Regulator 12 mount up. It’s gonna take a good performance to outdo the 1311.

The announcement of the MOAB is overshadowing just how bad ass the R12 really is! I always wanted the Regulator handle on an even larger blade than the R9.5 and now we have one! Hope there are more to come because I feel like I could sling around a MOAB like a butter knife if it had a Regulator handle on it!

I finally got mine TODAY! I love the handle. Much prefer it to the DT12, but that handle is not bad either. I had ordered some tan kydex and velcro to try to rig a LMIW sheath to fit a R12... DT12's never fit and would hit the Kydex retention pin. Those are made for 11" blades max... it worked. Love the blade.

I gave the Regulator 12 a little workout after work. I'm expanding my shooting range and had to remove three small trees so I figured it would be a good time to run a little test. I grabbed my Combat Grade BB13 and Hognose War Sword for comparison. The HWS is a beast, its a lot of fun and the handle is great but it starts getting a little heavy after a few swings and it has a bit of vibration on hard contact. The CG BB13 is great but now I want a regulator handle on it. The handle has aways felt a little small and after comparing these three I will be adding some wrap to it. The Regulator 12 did a great job the handle is a joy, the blade is light, fast and bites deep. I was cutting off 1"-1 1/2" limbs with a single swing. Even without gloves I had no hot spots or blisters and my shoulder wasn't complaining.
