Is the blade the exact same as the DT12? Same height and thickness?

I assume only the handle and blade finish are different.

As far as I can tell they’re identical but my DT12 is coated so that’s a slight difference.

It’s a great blade design with a thin geometry. Comparing it to the geometry of my CG Dogfather is night and day. It’s a taller blade than the Dogfather with a FFG vs a saber grind at roughly the same blade stock. I still love the Dogfather tho lol.
 
I didn’t take the time to get any photos and my cheap eBay sheath didn’t fit even though it is pretty nice.

The dt12 proto is pretty impressive, blade is more wieldy than it looks, blade and edge geometry are great, handle is super comfortable. I’ll be back with more.
 
I wonder if the tang is the same or not between the straight vs regulator handles. SinceI didn’t get to score one, and always wished the regulator handle was on the DT12, I wonder if I can transplant/swap the handle from an AR9.5? Then I’ll have a Franken-straight-handle-AR9.5 and a Franken-Regulator12 … 🤔
 
Finally got all my work done and opened one up. This thing is a beast. It makes the AFBM look small. It’s too dark now to do any chopping and I’m tired.

Had to pull out the current champion 1311 for comparison. As soon as it hit my hand it reminded me why it’s the champion.

Regulator 12 mount up. It’s gonna take a good performance to outdo the 1311.

I’m having member VJT make a 12” Regulator sheath for me. He made me an excellent sheath for my Free Rein. I’m having my 12” Regulator sent directly to him so you all might be able to convince him to make a multi-sheath run while he has my piece.

I just picked up my Reg12 from UPS and I like the Regulator handle a lot. I don't know why this wasn't the way the DT12 was originally setup. I can't wait to get this beast home and put it to work. I don't have a 1311 to compare it with but I do have a DT12 Sawback and BB13 CG.
