I heard they changed the grade regs. Read this a couple issues back. http://www.outsideonline.com/outdoor-adventure/culinary/New-Science-and-Names-of-Maple-Syrup.html
In defense of 440A, Kabar/Cutco's 440A is pretty darn stellar. Kinda brittle, but does take and keep a pretty excellent edge.
I thought the BK-21 was gonna be quenched in Maple Syrup during the heat treat process?
I heard 1995 was a good year.I would pay an extra $100 for a maple syrup induced hamon.

I like how this turned into a conversation about syrup.
Imagine all the syrup we could harvest with the BK21 if it were real.It was always about syrup. The BK21 is a hoax.
Yeah-no problem with it for smaller stuff-especially neckers. I hafta send neck knives out to be cerakoted-just don't want to deal with ht'ing stainless. In defense of 440A, Kabar/Cutco's 440A is pretty darn stellar. Kinda brittle, but does take and keep a pretty excellent edge.
I remember a guy using a fire ant nest for cover at JRTC lol.I hear that in the northeast all you guys have to do is tap on any tree and maple syrup comes out. Where I live in Texas, when you tap on a tree all that comes out is bees and fire ants.
