I'm no fan of Guy or Survive but I think it's pretty cold to bring up dirt from 16+ years ago. Whatever Guy's circumstances at the time I would hope that he would be allowed to get over it. Otherwise we are all only as good as the worst thing we've done.
Agree 100%. If people who've made mistakes in their past aren't allowed to move forward with their lives and learn from those mistakes, what's the benefit for them to try to reform in the first place? If they keep making those same types of mistakes, that's a pattern of behavior and a different matter entirely.
I do not now, nor have I ever had any money in a survive knife, but by all accounts they sound like excellent knives. It does seem like there's plenty of legitimate concerns about the company and their business practices, so I won't be ordering one unless they can fix their problems and find a way to transition to a more conventional sales system. If that can happen and there's a model that I want, a mistake made by an idiot kid a couple of decades ago isn't going to enter into my decision since it appears to be a bad choice instead of a pattern of behavior. What he does now and in the future is what will shape that decision.
