I believe it is still important to remind members to not do F&F and to know this guy. I have done handful of successful transaction both way but it happened to me once...As you see this guy is not replying here but in the background he is harassing me.

This language is inappropriate for this section, this is a family section of the forum. If you forget, I am here to remind you.
for all the m....rf.....s who know it all:
if it was a scam do you think a "scammer"pays back such a huge amount of money paid FRIENDS&FAMILY???????
I didn't felt right right,he tried to save $55-60 by paying F&F,and DIDN'T want to pay the currency rate exchange ($100+).
THAT'S why i send him back his money, but i realy don't give a rat's ass what you guy's think of me,i NEVER made a bad/wrong payment for what i bought AND NEVER did let a buyer down!enuff said,f..k all of you who know it all!i can look at myself in the mirror, and people who know me know i'm solid, maybe a nutcase to some, but a solid nutcase,so,for all you godfearing knowitall's shut the fuck up untill you know what you're talking about.

There are always two sides to every argument, and thanks for so eloquently sharing yours with us. Perhaps it is wrong to rush to judgment, without first contemplating all of the facts, but we sometimes first side with the member reporting the bad experience. Your words now show us the true strength of your character.

Im grateful people stumble in GB&U and sometimes it saves grief..
Other times it brings them in here to tell there woes????

After rereading... Context was misleading

Its been stated in here..Unless for some reason you feel
overly comfortable pay F&F
Exceptions to every rule..
(Exceptions perhaps Family-People in here you have done
many many deals with-That would apply to me a few times
with buddies I have done dozens and dozens pf deals with)

For all of the bloviating and soap box rants you post in every single GBU thread, here you are admitting to using Friends/Family payments to complete deals, going against the Paypal stated terms of service of which you always drone on about.

Good grief. In every thread there's never a superseding "exception". As Rev said, "why the hell are people using friends and family to pay for an item?" It simply shouldn't be happening.

I agree that Paypal F&F should stay between friends and family members. The problem that arises, stems from using F&F as a bargaining tool. Too much haggling complicates the hell out of any deal. The business should be kept simple, and straight, without proceeding until a final all inclusive G&S price is reached, and agreed upon by both parties. Retired01 mentioned about discussing the costs of paypal fees and currency exchange rates. None of that should ever come into play, it's just a recipe for disaster. There should be one final price, take the deal or leave it.

"Edited original post--Its was so nicely pointed out to me as being a bit of a double standard"" Double Standard which agreed-- For that my apologies to poster and
others reading this Taken off point..

I have many friends I have known in here for 10 yrs plus
That I and many others have done..well dealing with trusted friends..
I havent sent any F&F payments not for a long time. Wont deny Ive done it..

I merely have been honest it has been done on my behalf before
Right or wrong. Using caution is key. Doing you homework Look into the person.
Nothing more nothing less

Hoping everyone has a good weekend

Many of us are "guilty" of accepting F&F from repeat customers, it's like a casual friendship. I try to avoid it, but I'm ready to come clean, and admit to the error of my ways.

Retired 01: the member whom keeps giving, and giving.

Hannah Barbera, should make a new cartoon:

Yosemite Sam, travels to the Netherlands. He liked it so much, that he decided to stay. Then one day, he retires, begins working out in a gym...starts using steroids...then gets into knives

and it all goes downhill from there..........

^ After reading what he posted here in this thread (a public forum for the entire World to see), I can only imagine, what he's sending you.

Gosh darn it- this has got's to be on of thee greatest quotes I've had the pleasure of reading here!

"and people who know me know i'm solid, maybe a nutcase to some, but a solid nutcase"

I can just picture, Retired 01, sitting at his keyboard (while eating strudel and drinking a triple espresso), pecking away! :D

I literally cried laughing so hard...even in the oxyC stupor I'm recovering from.

Thanks, Retired 01!

Why the hell are people using friends and family to pay for an item? This kind of foolishness bewilders me still.

^ Why are people using the F&F method to pay for an item???

Because BF's allow seller's, selling in a large volume of BF's sales thread's, to sell their item's via this method (Friends & Family/Gift).

It's so easy to take the position, and state: "it's not our responsibility to police the sales forum, or to make sure people follow, PayPal's payment policies...

Yet at the same time, buyer's on this forum are given this option (at hands of unscrupulous seller's), at every turn.

I don't find these situations, bewildering at all! I personally feel, that BF's is doing a disservice (especially to the newbie's here), allowing seller's to advertise/sell in this manner.

They think this is the norm! Same for some of the new sellers here; they don't know any different.

At one time, the JD had a policy prohibiting from seller's violating PP's payment policy: selling Good & accepting payment via the F&F method.

And it worked great!

I can see that. Since it isn't specifically disallowed, it become a trap for the new buyers, who are thinking that BF management has them covered, either way.
