I used to crave the best "tweener", like a FSH or NMSFNO or any other 8" blade. before the BWM - my biggest was an ASH, and I used to think a BM was big and maybe a little unwieldy, but that's changed...
after handing and using the BWM since receiving it, I no longer think that. It (the BWM) is really light in the hand, pretty agile, and still heavy duty enough to bring it when needed. no need for a smaller, tweener blade.
honestly, I think the best value and range of use would come from pairing a BWM with a small one like a BAD or Culti. I find that the tweeners, and especially the SAR-8, are priced inconsistent with their usefulness in comparison.
pound for pound, for a user, the BWM at a factory price like now just can't be beat.
IMO.
