I'll describe the situation as briefly as possible.
A couple years ago, when I was an active member of Ramanon, Hollowdweller (HD) ran a contest to see who could make the most posts to "The Great Outdoors" section during a specified time period. The prize was a Reeves double bit hatchet styled al la Nessmuk. I won the hatchet and was very pleased with it.
Later I left Ramanon and began hanging out on "Southern Rule". SR was a struggling forum and I decided to offer the Reeves hatchet to who ever made the most posts to the SR outdoor section during a six month period. My goal was to help build up the new forum. Shortly, a few weeks after I began the contest, Southern Rule went off the air abruptly. Only two people had responded to my contest, one who's name I could not remember and Ilbruche, who made about six posts.
After SR failed HD recommended that I try out "Wilderness and Survival Skills" on BF. Soon I became a regular. I bought a Rambo IV knife that I thought had potential despite its shoddy workmanship. I approached Andy (Fiddleback) about replacing the leather wrapped handle with wooden grips, and he suggested I contact Ilbruche (Bruce Carpenter, PO Box 3074, ELDORADO SPRG, Colorado 80025-3074). Coincidentally, about the same time Bruce contacted me and asked jokingly "how he was gonna get his prize from SR" now that they had shut down. (SR had shut down a few weeks after I began my 6 month contest.) I told bruche about my RIV project and he offered to do the job in exchange for the Reeves Hatchet. I said "Okay" and shipped the Reeves and the RIV to him in June 2008. That was ten months ago, and despite a series of increasingly impatient email exchanges, I still have not seen either implement.
Clearly, at this late date, I believe bruche should either return both the RIV and the Reeves, or give me a hard date on which I can expect shipment of the re-handled RIV. No more excuses please.
Incidentally, bruche has posted pics of the Reeves on BF and, at one point, jokingly asked Mr. HD if he recognized it. I believe HD was puzzled.
Here's a copy of the last PM sent to Ilbruche on BF:
Hey Bruce, how's it going? I'm beginning to worry that I will never see that RIV again. (4/1/09)

Last month I had an accident with my truck which had me dealing with the insurance, selling the truck and buying a new vehicle. So not much of anything got done as far as knife work.
