The handle makes me think of that musty old Catt building, which you posted some years ago!! Didn't it have a fire???Thanks Charlie, that means a lot coming from you![]()
Phew!!! Lucky!!! (for you, not for the old bldg!!)Yes, it burned down a year or two after Donna and I got the handles out!

Nice gathering of re-pops, Mike!!For your viewing pleasure. GEC made 85 pattern. These were from the first batch Bill made for us. 2 of the etched Warranted ones are one of the set of 50. The bottom left etched Warranted is one of 5 that has wood from the Cattaraugus factory. The other 3 are one of only 2 made each that show the trademarks we had applied for.View attachment 2639208

May be the most beautiful knives ever made in my opinion.Just got 3 of the 92 Eurekas. I had set number 2 from the first run of 100 knives but just got set number 1. When Bill did a run of 17 a few years after that run I only kept the 2 bladed one with original Catt wood and sold the others. I was able to get one back. Never get tired of seeing these. I remember when I got them all and had thoughts of just keeping themView attachment 2799435View attachment 2799437View attachment 2799438
I live down the road from Jason. Such a great guy and maker. He has such a great understanding of construction methods from the past and design elements. Every conversation helps me improve as a maker.View attachment 3058450View attachment 3058451View attachment 3058452View attachment 3058453Here’s the latest JBF Champlin knives made by Jason Cattadoris of Tulip knife co.
