Resurrection of JBF Champlin & Sons........

Really happy to see this thread! Have been reading up a lot on the old Catt knives and JBF Champlin, and just picked up the nice glossy color book that reprints a couple of catalogs. Have also been lucky enough to find a couple old Catts in decent shape. The history of cutlery in the NE is so rich and interesting.

Incredibly important name in cutlery, and so happy to see it resurrected! Thank you Mike and Eric! Even the boxes are deluxe!

For your viewing pleasure. GEC made 85 pattern. These were from the first batch Bill made for us. 2 of the etched Warranted ones are one of the set of 50. The bottom left etched Warranted is one of 5 that has wood from the Cattaraugus factory. The other 3 are one of only 2 made each that show the trademarks we had applied for.IMG_2377.jpeg

Just got 3 of the 92 Eurekas. I had set number 2 from the first run of 100 knives but just got set number 1. When Bill did a run of 17 a few years after that run I only kept the 2 bladed one with original Catt wood and sold the others. I was able to get one back. Never get tired of seeing these. I remember when I got them all and had thoughts of just keeping them 😬😬IMG_3029.jpegIMG_3030.jpegIMG_3031.jpeg

May be the most beautiful knives ever made in my opinion.
