RICHARD J is down & out

Richard may be down but he is far from out. I just got off the phone with him and he is still joking and in good spirits.
His surgery is set for Wednesday.
He said to thank everybody. He really appreciates all the well wishes.

I made a correction in my last post. I think we misunderstood each other. Im gonna try and contact him tonight to clarify things. I think he has a friend that hes gonna refer biz to until hes back in action. But knowing RJ the minute he gets home from the hospital his paper wheels will be spinning! So people that have already sent stuff please dont get upset if there is a delay. I know were all used to his lightning quick return time but it could be delayed a bit. I know that Richard knows his postmaster well so i highly doubt anything will get lost or misplaced!! Richard probably calls the PO a few times a day lol! I will update further as I hear from him! Prayin for you bud!!
 
He does in fact have a friend that has agreed to do sharpening in his absence. The methods used for sharpening are a bit different and the turn around may not be as swift, but rest assured, those who choose not to wait for Richard will receive lovingly crafted edges;)
 
I spoke with Richard on the phone, he's a bit hard to understand on the phone with the meds and the fuzzy line, but he is dealing with it. He goes under the knife on Wednesday and everything is going to plan at this time. I'm sure once he gets home and back on his feet it will be business as usual.
 
I believe Unit is the friend that RJ is recommending in his absence?! Maybe Unit could provide us with his contact info? Yeah RJ is prob snorin away right now doped all up on the good stuff! I know he really appreciates all the kind words on here wishing him well!! If I hear from him tomorrow ill update the thread if someone else doesnt beat me to it.
 
Get well soon Richard J! You are in my thoughts and prayers. i have been meaning to send off some knives for a while now but they can wait. :)

Yes, I can help out anyone that needs edges while Richard is healing up. I work a bit differently in that I do everything by hand.

If anyone needs anything, shoot me a PM and we can talk about what you need (basic sharpening, Reprofiling, edge repair, desired finish, etc).

Thank you for the updates.

As much as Richard wants to get right back to it he is going to need some rest and time to recuperate.

I have a get well card I'm sending him that I put a little something extra in to help out. I know he's going to be out of work for a little while. He's done so much to help me and the community here it's the least I can do.

I have his address but for some reason can't find the zip? Could you PM or e-mail it to me if you get a chance?

I'd really like to get this card out in today's out going mail.
