Rick Hinderer Knives Picture Thread

CMD2569 thanks man, it was a pleasure meeting you, so happy you scored in the lottery! Hope the Mrs. Is feeling better?

That is sick final option!!! The DLC on a wharnie is just so bad ass! Congratulations buddy. Great score. :)

Thanks J81, there was a Black Fieldtac in the lottery, I believe it was the one that Rob had posted, when I saw it I was thinking of your Orange handled one. After the lottery I pleaded with the winner to part with it, nada. I did not realize was such a beast of a knife.

AZ2AK I was just admiring your collection again, love what you have done. To me owning a Hinderer is similar to owning a Harley, once you buy the base model, there is so much you can do to personalize the knife.

I bet that DLC fieldtac was awesome in person. They are pretty beastly aren't they! It's a tank of a knife. I hope that the winner is a bf member and posts pics here. You made out great with that wharnie though. Do you have another wharnie? Or is the DLC your first? They are a great grind aren't they?

I want to see a DLC slicer fxm with textured cf scales. Or maybe the same combo in a wharnie! yes. That's my new dream knife. Yes I know that there is a thread for dream builds but I'm too lazy to find it. :)

really wish I could have made it to NYCKS instead of FL for a funeral :/ ...I was all ready to show off my spiderman Wharnie! lol, heres how I have her currently...I need a blue Ti pivot screw, which I may steal off my spearpoint, and blue Ti scale screws...also might take the blue clip and filler tab to her aswell. we'll see. I was so ready for the show too. total bummer. Im just happy my grandmother is resting in peace now. big time. she was a FIGHTER, 90 yrs!

by the way, I REAAALLLY like this red scale, I never thought I would until I actually got it on the knife...had it laying around for months!

I don't think I've ever seen a red scale for a Hinderer before. Looks great on the Knife. I also agree, It would look great with a blue pivot screw and some blue scale screws.

Thanks F.O., I appreciate the kind words! And, I completely agree - the ability to customize in some many different combinations is one of the things that I really enjoy about these knives!

Speaking of which:

CFD - that red on the wharnie is cool! I second, or third, the sentiments here - blue screws and standoffs would really make this a looker!

CDF286 very sorry to hear about your grandmother, you did the right thing to be with family, shows come and go, only one chance at family. Hopefully you will get that tooth fixed, and get back to your old self soon! We did miss you at NYCKS and were looking out for you, well the ECCKS show is Feb 28, March 1 and 2nd 2014 so it gives you time to plan ahead.

Thanks for the compliment on the DLC Black Wharncliffe, your red looks great.

Slowly but surely she's getting better.

Thanks for the kind words about the lottery. I feel very fortunate to have had my name called.

That all ti spanto is awesome bwilson. I see why it's your edc. I am a big fan of ti myself. Next time the ranch puts out some textured ti scales I'll try to grab one for my slicer.

CMD im glad your wife is starting to feel better.

Sorry to hear of your loss, my condolences.

The red scale can be pretty neat, and these pics (which I know you have seen before) will give you an idea of what you are considering doing as you outlined above (minus the laser engraving).

RDA, not that is a show stopper, absolutely love the clean crisp grind Rick did and the baseball threads Rob slapped on it, truly one of a kind custom, and on a Wharncliffe to boot. Also love that almost red-orange scale, simply beautiful!

Exactly rich. You know I loved that ever since you showed it to me! So that's where I'm headed! Might steal the blue pivot screw off one of my other knives...still need scale screws tho, and unfortunately I havnt been able to grab them yet! If anyone's got a spare blue set please pm me. I wish the ranch would still do ano so I can truely match that baseball wharnie, ill call it spiderman tho! :)
