Rick Menefee Knives...

Rick, didn't weigh that gill, but bet it was two lbs, Caught on a red worm at Reelfoot Lake in Tenn. We spend 4-5 days there every Spring, goin first of May this year. Would love to come down there and fish, but with the Reelfoot trip & Blade show coming up, it's goin to be very hard to get away. Will see though. Thanks man!

I grew up right by Reelfoot Lake. I did a lot of fishing, hunting and swimming out there. It's a great place, hope you have fun. Eat some fish and hush puppies at Boyette's, Bluebank or Lakeview for me. I'm just a Little jealous. :)

If I grew up right by Reelfoot, I'd probably never have left... Might try one of those restaurants, but in the 14 years we've been goin over there we cook our own. Fried bluegill fillets, bacon & taters every days. :D

Well, I'm speechless. Incredible work Rick and the knife is just awesome!

Thanks again Rick for sharing these WIP photos for us to enjoy!

Beautiful! I really like that color combo on that knife pattern. Make sure you post up some in hand pics once you get it!

I don't blame you. I would rather go fishing with John and Dennis too. Nice fillet knife! I'm going to have to dig out a fish photo for your thread.

I've always been a "size doesn't matter" type of guy.

Great knives Rick. That Bent gunstock looks just like mine but mine is A-2. That fillet knife is the best I have used. -Izzy

I forgot you had one. Nothing better for fish up to 20lb. They're has been a whole bunch of research put into that knife. This one is going to a friend the end of the up coming week. I'm going to utilize it this week.

Beautiful knives Rick. Really like those wip pics. That fillet is amazing! I'm building more fillet knives than ever before. Those long thin grinds are tough! Do you hollow grind or flat grind those? Thanks for taking the time to share with us.

Yup. As a butcher for a living, I can say it's very well thought out and fun to use. Sometimes it seems like i get paid to use Rick's knives. -Izzy

Rick I hope you don't mind me posting pics of my Fish Bone Barlow build in your thread.

I have to cut the long pulls in the blades and stamp the tangs, then send them and the Fish stamp to heat treat. I carved and dyed the bone handles myself and have a couple more designs I am working on. I will make the bolsters starting Monday.

Your input is appreciated.
