Hey TKC, any word from the boy-blunder? Now that I know he's a minor--should have read Tom's posts a little more carefully--I guess I won't need to take my squad of green-meanies with me (although it could provide a type of "scared-straight" lesson for the tot ;-) but I am still happy to go for a drive and actually rap on this kid's door and have a talk with his mom and dad. I guess Tom lives really close by too. Just keep us updated when you get the chance. James Falor SEMPER FI

No money has arrived yet! I will. I haven't heard from the crook either. Thank you james for your offer!! I will let you know if your squad of green meanines is needed. I DO appreciate the offer. I have a feeling that I will be seeing my $$$ next week or the week after.

I hope you get it too! Good luck on it,and in the meantime, try not to stress out over it,Sincerely,Vince

The utility service is in his dad's name.

This could even be a minor.

DO NOT do business with minors without pay first because they cannot enter into binding contracts. You can sue to get the goods back (if parents won't do the right thing), but how practical is that?

Yse sir, a contract with a minor is not enforceable. But they do handcuff nicely and fit comfortably in the back seat of most Police cruisers!!!!:D [I know, arresting Juveniles is a waste of time, but the ride to the station can be quite an eye-opener if you know what I mean ;);) ;) ]

As at appears that Daddy is a Local Powerhouse, I suspect payment will be made pronto once he finds out. I bet Dad has to do this kind of stuff often......

Edited to add: He lists his age as 23 on those other websites. Is he just a Poser over there??

It may not be practical but a threat of a lawsuit to ruin his credit record or mommy & daddy's for that matter might just stop this in it's tracks.

Or dad could turn out to be a real jerk for sending weapons to an underaged child.

This could actually get ugly both ways. I would defintely contact the father immediately and explain that his son is lying about his age, making deals, etc. Also, if you want to pursue it all the way, print out his profiles that give his age so that you have proof that he's committing fraud online. A lot of kids have gotten in trouble over this like the boy who set up an Ebay account and defrauded a TON of people.

I personally think it is more likely that he isn't a monor. Posted earlier were links to forums he is a member of. One of them since 2000. I suppose he could have been under 12 when he joined that forum, but I think it is more likely that he is in his late teens to early twenties.

Richard, who is 19, said he mailed the MO on the 8th (Weds.). I'll tell his Dad to stand down. Perhaps the telephone call to the home call answered by the younger brother, who took a message, bore the desired fruit.

Congrats TKC,

I've been following this, and am glad to hear you got your cash.

Special thanks to Mr. Linton for his service.
