Yea thats the idea :) i dont much care for the ergos of the larger esee knives and dont much plan to use either of these but think they look neat and the story behind the names are cool.

Oh he can.......and it wont give you any more problems.........at all

So me and Vik took a road trip today. Went to a couple of breweries :) This was the Beckerhead vehicle of the day oh Trades Stinger went too.

Tanto? Big ole wide as hell blade? Nessmuk?

The force is strong with this one.

Pffft, whatever. I know how you think cause to a lesser degree I think the same way. It would be more apt to say "The engineer (or nerd) is strong with this one." If it makes you feel any better, most of the things you do make more sense to me that a great number of everything else I see.

So...hammock guys, I'm going to finally get a decent tarp. Should I go with BCUSA 12x10 or 10x10 for over a Skeeter Beater Pro hammock?

I have both - they 10x10 works well so long as the wind is predictable -- if there is a strong chance of storm with quartering winds the 12x10 gives better coverage and you can close the ends in cold weather.

I have the OD Esee 3. I really like the blade, but am thinking about getting black handles to replace the bright orange.

I have a user 3-mil, would be willing to trade scales if you want canvas micarta -- they're not pristine, though.
otherwise, you might consider the Knife Connection's custom G10 scales -- totally changes the feel of the knife. (in a good way)

Got around to replacing the clunky bail on my zebra pot. Replaced it with a brazing rod and can take it off when I need to.

I used a steel fishing leader for that.

The tractor has a loader. No need for a plow on the truck.

mmmmmmmmm............... loader............

As you wish: The Nerd is strong with this one. ;)
Thanks for lending credibility to my 'sense'. HAHA! Wheeee!
(I'm a bit punchy today - one more week of my old job to go)

So I just found out LL Bean has the Gransfors Bruks small forest axe in stock and I have enough gift cards to only have to pay the tax on it. Anyone have an opinion on this axe? Any tips on taking care of it? I have been lookng at it for a while but I am new to the world of axes.

I might do a midnight run tonight to go get it.

Thanks,

Jeremy
