Awesome! Do you have an anvil? I plan on doing some blacksmithing I just dont have the tools yet. What if anything did you use for a blower?

Thanks this was the first thing I have made with it so I definitely need some more practice. I don't have an anvil but I have a good size piece of steel that's maybe an inch thick and big enough to use as a working area so I am using that for now, down the road I would like to pick one. I just used a hair dryer for the blower and it seems to work ok. The biggest problem I found with this was that it would only get a small area hot enough to work. I might try to make some improvements. It was really fun though. The only tools I used were a large hammer and some pliers along with a old chisel.

That is very cool indeed. Brake drum forges have gotten a lot of smiths started off. Good job man.

Looks like I'm spending the night in the labor and delivery ward tonight guys! We checked in a few hours ago. She just got her epidural and is gonna try to get some sleep before push time. Wish us luck!
