just picked up a nice youte fiber glass bow from a gent named, i kid you not, Barlow
 
they are very nice axes and from what I hear take the least amount of "tuning up" of any production axe on the market here in N.A.

that said, I'm not convinced they're worth the $$, but I'm not afraid of taking a file and belt sander to an axe head to clean up the grind, thin the primary bevel, and sharpen it.
 
I did a little more grinding on my 2nd attempt at making a knife. This one is O-1 It has been on the back burner for a while since I have been busier with the sheaths.

Damnit, I had a LLBean Hudson Bay Axe on the line, and literally the last second i got it sharked from me....
I really wanted that stupid axe too. Ahh well

By the way Psy, that's a dang odd looking sheath you have there. How did you get the leather so shiny?
 
Yeah, was near mint great profile on the edge and even the poll was in good shape. Im very disappointed ..lol I reaaaaly wanted that axe, and the guy who won it is bidding up the other 2 axes I was looking at too....
 
Got my pack hooks put in place today.

Does this make me look like a pack whore? Probably.... but we are all whores in our way, arent we? :D
 
nice packs gooseespecially that mountainsmith and the bottom right one.

I really like that blade profile. Nice work so far.
 
Got to play outside today. I made this brake drum forge and turned this metal rod into this. By no means a work of art but it was damn fun and good to get outside.
